They opened very well, and the Necronomicon simply couldn't muster enough support to see their guys catch back.

Booked: --- ***John Gotti, The man with the plan A quite close match at the Iron Fist Tournament this week, and with an away win, the Mobsters would've passed Those Who Heed The Call on the table. However, that wasn't meant to be, and the distance on the table doubles between these teams.

ANU FC - New Bremen Cyberdruids 1 : 2 Scorers: --- ***Maurice P. Schmidt (3.), Michaela di Vani (72.) Penalties: 1 ***- Sent off: Whinging Bitch (60.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Malek Even with ANU FC crippled by suspensions, the Cyberdruids only barely managed to eek out a win, with the decisive goal coming towards the end of the match. Still, they'll keep their lead barring a large Blitzball win.

Toy Town Rovers - Coventry 5 : 0 Scorers: Robin Hood (44., 50.), Beowulf (14., 68.), Pied Piper (44.) ***--- Booked: Rose Red ***Al Simmons, Carl Crocker, Kurt Wagner, Robbie Starr Coventry attempted to field the suspended Henry McCoy, but he was replaced before the game began. From the run of play, there was really nothing much he could have done anyway - Toy Town were significantly stronger and cruised in to a convincing home win.

Fishwick Old Contemptibles - Ladish Sausage 0 : 0 Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***Beatrice 'Louise' Dumbrowski, Donald 'Pops' Poppanowski The Fishies get their first (and very lucky) point of the season against inefficient Mad Cows, who had a key player out with a suspension. Still, a two goal away win would've been lucky for the Fishies, so Otto's Meats despair at the number of balls going off the woodwork. the Blitzball Team - Sale Savoyards 1 : 1 Scorers: Kimahri (18.) ***Cyril (47.) Another top match, very close indeed - and all in all, 1-1 was a very fair result of this completely clean match.

Are the Sky Blues looking at further relegation this year?

Gangsters United - ANU FC 1 : 0 Scorers: Tony Soprano (88.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Brettles Incredible! ANU pulls off a strategical wonder, but messes up the 3:1 rule in the process, and thus loses the game still! Gangsters got one shot on goal, and converted it.

Toy Town Rovers - the Blitzball Team 2 : 2 Scorers: Kazuya Mishima (46.), Rumpelstilzchen (32.) ***Amalie (16.), Yuna (39.) Booked: Rumpelstilzchen ***--- A fairly even match at the Stadium of Night, with the Blitzballers having somewhat better chances, but the Fables successfully holding them to a draw. With that, the home team leaves the relegation zone again!

14. GM's ramble

It's probably about a month or so now until season ends, so I'd appreciate if you know for sure whether your continuing with each team next season or dropping it, and whether you know for sure if you want to start a new team or be willing to take over a team from someone else, to let me know before next deadline. We should hit a multiple of 12 (whether that be 36 or 48 – if I can get a program done over the next few weeks, 60 could be doable if we can get that many), and knowing what it looks like early helps that. I'll accept registration of new teams already for the next season, so by all means feel free to recruit – be sure to mention to them that it'll start for them mid-late September, not immediately, though!

I'm dropping the submission statistics by division. Suffice to say, just 36 teams submitted this time. Let's blame the summer vacation, and hope the numbers are way up from there.

In Rosedale Open, Camarilla Divided and the Ancients have ran away from the rest, with 25 and 23 points each. Closest is Call of Cthulhu, with 20 points. At the other end of the table, we find Saturday Morning FC and Muppets with 10 points, Sportfånarna United with 6 points, and Car Park Rangers with one point.

Lexington League is led by New Bremen Cyberdruids and Mishima Zaibatsu, with 22 points apiece. The Blitzball Team follows with 21 points. Trailing are Coventry with 9 points, Ladish Sausage with 4 points and Fishwick Old Contemptibles, now with one point!

Berkeley Conference has Dead Dino Storage at the top, with 24 points. Monkey Business are two points behind, and First Men of Rome another point behind. Shock & Awe has 7 points, FC Gnome has 4 points and the Nightfall Dreamers 3 points, and these three teams make up the relegation zone. Top of Kirkwood Showdown is Batt in Blax with 23 points, Underdogs FC with 21 points and DC Red Hot and Blues with 19 points. Last three are Refridgerator Heaven with 8 points, and the Bluebonnet Plague and Bananas United, with 4 points each.

The luckiest team of the league system is Pirates Haven, followed by Underdogs FC and Floating Windy City. The unluckiest team of the league system is Sleep Wanderers, followed by Lower Tadfield Apocalypse and ANU FC.
