However, in the event of localized weather conditions, the school closures will be announced on an individual basis. All closure information, whether district-wide or for an individual school or route, will be announced on the School Announcement Network: FLASHALERT.NET If a Delay is announced, please continue to listen for an updated report. If morning weather conditions worsen, the decision may be changed to School Closure. When Steve Stewart, director of operations for Cox Media Group Orlando and PD at “K92.3” WWKA, first heard Parmalee’s “Just the Way” feat. Blanco Brown in October 2019, he knew the band had a hit on its hands. It took more than a year for other stations to agree. Parmalee, who first played Stewart the song on a tour bus after an Orlando show, is No. 1 on this week’s Mediabase country chart — eight years after last topping the chart with “Carolina” in 2013. The band released “Just the Way” December 2019 and WWKA became the first station to add it the following month. Guthrie joined the company in 1998 as VP/GM of the Long Island, NY cluster, rising through Regional VP and Group VP roles to her current position. Her background includes sales and management, as well as work as a television news reporter and anchor. Today, she guides a team of A-list employees in a company with a long media tradition, and focuses on fundamentals that have a proven track record of success. She’s also having some fun. Country Aircheck: What is your view of radio today – both as a business and how it fits into people’s lives? Kim Guthrie: We have a big radio cluster in Atlanta and [the re- cent ice storm] was an incredible opportunity for radio to really shine – not just our News/Talk station WSB- AM, but all of them, including our music THE INTERVIEW stations. Radio truly became a companion. People were freaked out – some were in their car for 24 hours. Phones were dead and radio became a lifeline. The responsibility that comes with being a broadcaster is paramount. It was our duty to be a leader and step up as a lifeline and companion to people who needed to know what was happening. They had nowhere else to go except perhaps the fel- low travelers stuck in the cars next to them. -

Commissioner Nancy Gibson made a motion to approve the October 3, 2018 Board meeting summary as amended. Commissioner Jim Duggan seconded the motion. The Consortium Board unanimously approved the October 3, 2018 Consortium Board meeting summary as amended. (15:0:0) Public Comment None Consortium Program Evaluation Presentation Anne Buzzini and John Horvick from DHM Research joined the Consortium Board meeting to share results from the Consortium Program Evaluation survey. Ms. Buzzini explained that between October 25 and November 6, 2018 an online survey was completed by 400 residents in the Consortium service area. Quotas were set by age, gender, county, race/ethnicity and education to get a complete representation of the residents of the Consortium’s service area. The survey took approximately 12 minutes to complete. The research was done to measure baseline awareness of water conservation and emergency preparedness; assess the most common water conservation behaviors and upgrades; and to determine motivations for water conservation and emergency preparedness and the most effective outreach methods. Ms. Buzzini and Mr. Horvick outlined key takeaways from the research including: • Conservation is important to residents. They said the best motivation for conserving water is simply because it is the right thing to do—although saving money on their bills is important, too. -

Newer generations would rather curate and listen to digital playlists, and see radio as a media dinosaur.” That line of thinking is often heard these days, but doesn’t always hold water. Those who look closely are finding young people who are excited about the medium and interested in making careers in it. Take the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications, for example. The school’s immersion programs are often cited among the best in the nation, and its portfolio of broadcast properties could just as reasonably be owned by a commercial operator.
