4 Introduction The Forth Valley and Regional Improvement Collaborative (RIC) is ambitious to achieve excellence through raising attainment in all Curriculum for Excellence areas with a particular focus on numeracy and literacy. Our Improvement Collaborative will focus on closing the poverty- related attainment gap by ensuring that every child engages with the highest standards of learning and teaching to develop a range of skills, qualifications and achievements to allow them to succeed and achieve a high quality positive and sustained destination when they leave school.
