THE ROCKY RIDGE & ROYAL OAK VIEW MARCH 2018 11 In Our Community Wichewakn District Girl Guide News

i from the Girl Guides in Wichewakn District - Unit H278

We all know that Valentine's Day is a time to spread even more love around for everybody. That is why this year our Girl Guide unit decided to spread our love to our veterans, who worked hard in the wars or to keep peace for our country. This year our Girl Guide unit have been talking a lot about how the Girl Guides helped soldiers during the wars and other war efforts.

We thought it would be a good idea to make something so the Veterans realize that we are thinking about them and we hope that we made their Valentine's Day even more special. We made a Remembrance Day wreath of our traced hands and wrote on them notes about how grateful we are for all their hard work and bravery. We hope that all the veterans had a great Valentine's Day.

If you wish to volunteer or register your daughter in Girl Guides, please email Aurora at wichewakn@ hotmail.com . Wichewakn District Girl Guides

DID YOU KNOW?? St. Patrick wasn't actually Irish. He was British, and brought to Ireland as a slave when he was 16.
