1 In the first year of . חֲזָה חֵלֶ ָ נִֵאל ָבֶ ל מֶלֶ לְבֵלְ אַַ ר חֲדָ ה ְִ נַת 17: b·shnth chde l·blashtzr mlk bbl dnial chlm chze Belshazzar king of Babylon in·year-of (A) one (A) to·Belshazzar (A) king-of (A) Babylon (A) Daniel (A) dream (A) he-perceived (A) Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, [and] told the sum of כְתַ ב חֶלְמָ א ֵ אדַ יִ מְְִבֵ ־ עַל רֵ אֵ וְחֶ זְוֵי u·chzui rash·e ol - mshkb·e b·adin chlm·a kthb the matters. and·visions-of (A) head-of·him (A) on (A) bed-of·him (A) in·then (A) dream·the (A) he-wrote (A)

2 Daniel spake and said, I ־ עִ ְחֶ זְוִ י הֲוֵית חָ זֵה וְאָמַ ר דָ נִֵאל עָנֵה 27: one dnial u·amr chze euith b·chzu·i om - saw in my vision by night, responding (A) Daniel (A) and·saying (A) perceiving (A) I-was (A) in·vision-of·me (A) with (A) and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. מְ גִ יחָ ְמַ ָא רחֵ י אַרְ ַ ע וַאֲר לֵ ילְ יָא lili·a u·aru arbo ruchi shmi·a mgichn night·the (A) and·behold ! (A) four (A) winds-of (A) heavens·the (A) ones-crushing-forth (A)

: רַ ָ א לְ יַָ א l·im·a rb·a : to·sea·the (A) vast·the (A)

3 And four great beasts יַָ א ־ מִ סָלְקָ רַ בְרְ בָ חֵ יוָ וְאַרְ ַ ע 37: u·arbo chiun rbrbn slqn mn - im·a came up from the sea, and·four (A) animals (A) immense-ones (A) ones-coming-up (A) from (A) sea·the (A) diverse one from another.

: ָ א ־ מִ ָ א ָנְ יָ shnin da mn - da : ones-be ing-diverse (A) this (A) from (A) this (A)

4 ,The first [was] like a lion חָ זֵה לַ נְַ ר ־ ִ י וְ גִַ י כְ אַרְ יֵה קַדְ מָ יְתָ א 47: qdmith·a k·arie u·gphin di - nshr l·e chze and had eagle's wings: I eastern-one (f)·the (A) as·lion (A) and·wings (A) that-of (A) vulture (A) to·her (A) perceiving (A) beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as נְטִ ילַ ת גַַ י ְרִ יט ־ ִ י עַד הֲוֵית euith od di - mritu gphi·e u·ntilth a man, and a man's heart I-was (A) until (A) that (A) they-were-scraped-off (A) wings-of·her (A) and·she-was-tilted-up (A) was given to it. לְבַ ב הֳקִ ימַ ת ֶאֱנָ רַ גְלַיִ ־ וְ עַל אַרְ עָא ־ מִ mn - aro·a u·ol - rglin k·ansh eqimth u·lbb from (A) earth·the (A) and·on (A) two -feet (A) as·mortal (A) she-was-cset-up (A) and·heart-of (A)

: לַ יְהִ יב אֱנָ ansh ieib l·e : mortal (A) he-was-granted (A) to·her (A)

5 ,And behold another beast לְ דֹב ָ מְ יָה תִ נְ יָנָה אָ חֳרִ י חֵ יוָה וַאֲר 57: u·aru chiue achri thnine dmie l·db a second, like to a bear, and and·behold ! (A) animal (f)(A) another (A) second (f)(A) one (f)-be ing-like (A) to·bear (A) it raised up itself on one side, and [it had] three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said ֵ י ְ פַֻ עִלְעִ י תְ לָ ת הֳקִמַ ת חַ ד ־ וְלְִ טַ ר u·l·shtr - chd eqmth u·thlth oloin b·phm·e bin thus unto it, Arise, devour and·to·part (A) one (A) she-was-cset-up (A) and·three (A) ribs (A) in·mouth-of·her (A) between (A) much flesh. K Q קמִ י לַ אָמְרִ י וְכֵ ִ ַ ִ ַַ shni·e shn·e u·kn amrin l·e qumi teeth-of·her (A) tooth-of·her (A) and·thus (A) ones-saying (A) to·her (A) arise-you ! (A)

6 After this I beheld, and lo ִ נְמַ ר אָ חֳרִ י וַאֲר הֲוֵית חָ זֵה ְ נָה ָ אתַ ר 67: bathr dne chze euith u·aru achri k·nmr another, like a leopard, in· in-place -of (A) this (A) perceiving (A) I-was (A) and·behold ! (A) another-one (f)(A) as·leopard (A) which had upon the back of K it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to ַַ ַ ־ עַל ע ־ ִ י אַרְ ַ ע ִַ י וְלַ u·l·e gphin arbo di - ouph ol - gbi·e it. and·to·her (A) wings (A) four (A) that-of (A) flyer (A) on (A) arched-back s-of·her (A) Q וְ ָלְ טָ לְחֵ יוְתָ א רֵ אִ י וְאַרְ ְ עָה ַַ gb·e u·arboe rashin l·chiuth·a u·shltn arched-back -of·her (A) and·four (A) heads (A) to·animal (f)·the (A) and·jurisdiction (A)

עֲַ ר וְקַרְ נַיִ קָדָ מַ י ִ י חֵ יוָתָ א ־ ָ ל ־ מִ מְ ְַ יָה mshnie mn - kl - chiuth·a di qdmi·e u·qrnin oshr mbe ing-diverse (A) from (A) all-of (A) animal·the (A) that (A) before·her (A) and·horns (A) ten (A)

8 ,I considered the horns סִלְקָ ת זְעֵ ירָ ה אָ חֳרִ י קֶרֶ וַאֲל ְקַרְ נַָא הֲוֵית מְִַַ ל 87: mshthkl euith b·qrni·a u·alu qrn achri zoire slqth and, behold, there came up scontemplating (A) I-was (A) in·horns·the (A) and·lo ! (A) eyes (A) as·eyes-of (A) mortal·the (A) in·horn·the (A) this (A)

9 I beheld till the thrones . רְ מִ יו כָרְ סָ וָ ִ י עַד הֲוֵית חָ זֵה 97: chze euith od di krsun rmiu were cast down, and the perceiving (A) I-was (A) until (A) that (A) thrones (A) they-were-heaved (A) Ancient of days did sit, whose garment [was] white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his ְ עַר חִ ָר ִתְ לַ ג לְ בֵ יְתִ ב ימִ י וְ עִַ יק u·othiq iumin ithb lbush·e k·thlg chur u·shor throne [was like] the fiery and·transferring-one-of (A) days (A) he-sat (A) clothing-of·him (A) as·snow (A) pale (A) and·hair-of (A) flame, [and] his wheels [as] burning fire. נר ־ ִ י ְבִ יבִ י ָרְ סְ יֵ נְקֵ א ַעֲמַ ר רֵ אֵ rash·e k·omr nqa krsi·e shbibin di - nur head-of·him (A) as·wool (A) immaculate (A) throne-of·him (A) flares (A) that-of (A) flame (A)

: ָ לִ ק נר ַלְ ִהִ י glglu·ei nur dlq : rollers-of·him (A) flame (A) flashing (A)

10 A fiery stream issued קֳדָ מהִ י ־ מִ וְ נָפֵ ק נָגֵד נר ־ ִ י נְהַ ר 7:10 ner di - nur ngd u·nphq mn - qdmu·ei and came forth from before stream (A) that-of (A) flame (A) one-be ing-in -front (A) and·issuing (A) from (A) before·him (A) him: thousand thousands K Q ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten :thousand stood before him וְרִ יְְַ ֵ אַלְפִ י אַלְפִ י אֶלֶ alph alphim alphin ishmshun·e u·rbu the judgment was set, and thousand-of (A) thousands (A) thousands (A) they-are-mirradiating·him (A) and·ten-thousand-of (A) the books were opened. 11 I beheld then because of רַ בְרְ בָתָ א מִ ַָא קָ ל ־ מִ ֵ אדַ יִ הֲוֵית חָ זֵה 7:11 chze euith b·adin mn - ql mli·a rbrbth·a the voice of the great words perceiving (A) I-was (A) in·then (A) from (A) sound-of (A) matters·the (A) immense-ones·the (A) which the horn spake: I

12 As concerning the rest of ָלְ טָנְ ה הֶעְִ יו חֵ יוָתָ א ְ אָ ר 7:12 u·shar chiuth·a eodiu shltn·eun the beasts, they had their and·remainder-of (A) animals·the (A) they-caused-to -pass-away (A) authority-of·them (A) dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. זְמַ ־ עַד לְ ה יְהִ יבַ ת בְחִַ י וְאַרְ כָ ה u·arke b·chiin ieibth l·eun od - zmn and·lengthening (A) in·lives (A) she-was-granted (A) to·them (A) until (A) stated-time (A)

13 I saw in the night עֲנָנֵי ־ עִ וַאֲר לֵ ילְ יָא ְחֶ זְוֵי הֲוֵית חָ זֵה 7:13 chze euith b·chzui lili·a u·aru om - onni visions, and, behold, [one] perceiving (A) I-was (A) in·visions-of (A) night·the (A) and·behold ! (A) with (A) clouds-of (A) like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him עִַ יק ־ וְ עַד הֲוָה אָתֵ ה אֱנָ ְבַ ר ְמַ ָא shmi·a k·br ansh athe eue u·od - othiq near before him. heavens·the (A) as·son-of (A) mortal (A) arriving (A) he-was (A) and·unto (A) one-transferring-of (A)

: הַקְרְ בהִ י קְדָ מהִ י מְ טָ ה ימַ ָא iumi·a mte u·qdmu·ei eqrbu·ei : days·the (A) he-reached (A) and·before·him (A) they-cbrought-near-him (A)

14 And there was given him וְ כֹל מַלְ כ וִ יקָ ר ָלְ טָ יְהִ יב וְלֵ 7:14 u·l·e ieib shltn u·iqr u·mlku u·kl dominion, and glory, and a and·to·him (A) he-was-granted (A) jurisdiction (A) and·esteem (A) and·kingdom (A) and·all-of (A) kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion [is] an everlasting יִפְלְ ח לֵ וְלִ ָ נַָא אֻמַ ָא עַמְ מַ ָא ommi·a ami·a u·lshni·a l·e iphlchun dominion, which shall not peoples·the (A) leagues·the (A) and·language -group s·the (A) to·him (A) they-shall-serve (A) pass away, and his kingdom [that] which shall not be .destroyed יֶעְֵ ה לָ א ־ ִ י עָלַ ָלְ טָ ָלְ טָ נֵ shltn·e shltn olm di - la iode jurisdiction-of·him (A) jurisdiction-of (A) eon (A) that (A) not (A) he-shall-pass-away (A)

15 I Daniel was grieved in . וְחֶ זְוֵי נִדְ נֶה ְ גא דָ נִֵאל אֲנָה רחִ י אֶתְְרִ ַת 7:15 athkrith ruch·i ane dnial b·gua ndne u·chzui my spirit in the midst of she-sshuddered (A) spirit-of·me (A) I(A) Daniel (A) in·midst-of (A) sheath (A) and·visions-of (A) [my] body, and the visions of my head troubled me. : יְבַ הֲלֻ ַנִ י רֵ אִ י rash·i ibeln·ni : head-of·me (A) they-are-mflustering·me (A)

16 I came near unto one of ־ אֶבְ עֵא וְ יִַ יבָ א קָ אֲמַ ָא ־ מִ חַ ד ־ עַל קִרְ בֵ ת 7:16 qrbth ol - chd mn - qami·a u·itziba aboa - them that stood by, and I-drew -near (A) on (A) one (A) from (A) ones-rising·the (A) and·certain ty (A) I-am-petitioning (A) asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the .interpretation of the things מִ ַָא פְ ַ ר לִ י ־ וַאֲמַ ר ְ נָה ־ ָ ל ־ עַל מִ ֵ mn·e ol - kl - dne u·amr - l·i u·phshr mli·a from·him (A) on (A) all-of this (A) and·he-said (A) to·me (A) and·interpretation-of (A) matters·the (A)

: יְהדְ עִ ַנִ י ieudon·ni : he-is-cmak ing-known·me (A)

17 ,These great beasts מַלְכִ י אַרְ ְ עָה אַרְ ַ ע אִ ִ י ִ י רַ בְרְ בָתָ א חֵ יוָתָ א אִ ֵ י 7:17 alin chiuth·a rbrbth·a di anin arbo arboe mlkin which are four, [are] four these (A) animals·the (A) immense-ones·the (A) that (A) they (f)(A) four (A) four (A) kings (A) kings, [which] shall arise out of the earth. : אַרְ עָא ־ מִ יְקמ iqumun mn - aro·a : they-shall-rise (A) from (A) earth·the (A)

18 But the saints of the most עֶלְ ינִ י קִַ יֵ י מַלְ כתָ א וִ יקְַ ל 7:18 u·iqblun mlkuth·a qdishi oliunin High shall take the and·they-shall-receive (A) kingdom·the (A) holy-ones-of (A) supreme-ones (A) kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. : עָלְמַ ָא עָלַ וְ עַד עָלְמָ א ־ עַד מַלְ כתָ א וְ יַחְסְ נ u·ichsnun mlkuth·a od - olm·a u·od olm olmi·a : and·they-shall-csafeguard (A) kingdom·the (A) unto (A) eon·the (A) and·unto (A) eon-of (A) eons·the (A)

19 Then I would know the הֲוָת ־ ִ י רְ בִ יעָיְתָ א חֵ יוְתָ א ־ עַל לְ יַָבָ א צְבִ ית אֱדַ יִ 7:19 adin tzbith l·itzba ol - chiuth·a rbioith·a di - euth truth of the fourth beast, then (A) I-would (A) to·to-mcertain-of (A) on (A) animal·the (A) fourth·the (A) that (A) she-was (A) which was diverse from all K Q the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth [were [of] iron, and his nails [of יִַ ירָ ה ְ חִ ילָ ה ְָהֵ י ְָ ה ־ מִ ָנְ יָה shnie mn - kl·eun kl·ein dchile ithire brass; [which] devoured, be ing-diverse (A) from (A) all-of·them (A) all-of·them (A) nterrifying (A) redundantly (A) brake in pieces, and K Q stamped the residue with his ;feet נְחָ ־ ִ י וְטִפְרַ י פַרְ זֶל ־ ִ י ִ ַ ִ ַַ shni·e shn·e di - phrzl u·tphri·e di - nchsh teeth-of·her (A) tooth-of·her (A) that-of (A) iron (A) and·claws-of·her (A) that-of (A) copper (A)

: רָ פְסָ ה ְרַ גְלַ י ְ אָרָ א מֲַקָ ה אָכְ לָ ה akle mdqe u·shar·a b·rgli·e rphse : devouring (A) cpulverizing (A) and·remainder·the (A) in·feet-of·her (A) stamping-upon (A)

20 And of the ten horns that סִלְקַ ת ִ י וְאָ חֳרִ י בְרֵ אַ ִ י עֲַ ר קַרְ נַָא ־ וְ עַל 7:20 u·ol - qrni·a oshr di b·rash·e u·achri di slqth [were] in his head, and [of] and·on (A) horns·the (A) ten (A) that (A) in·head-of·her (A) and·another (A) that (A) she-came-up (A) the other which came up, K Q K Q and before whom three fell; even [of] that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that ְ לָ ת קֳדָ מַ קֳדָ מַ ַ ־ מִ נְפַלָ ה נְפַ ל u·nphlu u·nphle mn - qdmi·e qdm·e thlth spake very great things, and·they-fell (A) and·they-fell (A) from (A) before·her (A) before·her (A) three (A) whose look [was] more stout than his fellows. רַ בְרְ בָ מְ מִַ ל וְפֻ לַ וְ עַיְנִ י דִ ֵ וְקַרְ נָא u·qrn·a dkn u·oinin l·e u·phm mmll rbrbn and·horn·the (A) same (A) and·eyes (A) to·her (A) and·mouth (A) mdeclaring (A) immense-thing s(A)

: חַבְרָ תַ ־ מִ רַ ב וְחֶ זְוַ u·chzu·e rb mn - chbrth·e : and·vision-of·her (A) large (A) from (A) partners-of·her (A)

21 I beheld, and the same קִַ יִ י ־ עִ קְרָ ב עָבְדָ ה דִ ֵ וְקַרְ נָא הֲוֵית חָ זֵה 7:21 chze euith u·qrn·a dkn obde qrb om - qdishin horn made war with the perceiving (A) I-was (A) and·horn·the (A) same (A) making (A) attack (A) with (A) holy-ones (A) saints, and prevailed against them; : לְ ה וְ יָכְ לָ ה u·ikle l·eun : and·prevailing (A) to·them (A)

22 Until the Ancient of days וְדִ ינָא ימַ ָא עִַ יק אֲתָ ה ־ ִ י עַד 7:22 od di - athe othiq iumi·a u·din·a came, and judgment was until (A) that (A) he-arrived (A) one-transferring-of (A) days·the (A) and·adjudication·the (A) given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints .possessed the kingdom מְ טָ ה וְ זִמְ נָא עֶלְ ינִ י לְקִַ יֵ י יְהִ ב ieb l·qdishi oliunin u·zmn·a mte he-was-granted (A) to·holy-ones-of (A) supreme-ones (A) and·stated-time ·the (A) he-reached (A)

: קִַ יִ י הֶ חֱסִ נ מַלְ כתָ א u·mlkuth·a echsnu qdishin : and·kingdom·the (A) they-csafeguarded (A) holy-ones (A) K Q 23 Thus he said, The fourth רְ בִ יעָאָ ה רְ בִ יעָ יָא מַלְ כ רְ בִ יעָיְתָ א חֵ יוְתָ א אֲמַ ר ֵ 7:23 kn amr chiuth·a rbioith·a mlku rbioi·a rbio·ae beast shall be the fourth so (A) he-said (A) animal·the (A) fourth·the (A) kingdom (A) fourth·the (A) fourth·the (A) kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall מַלְכְ וָתָ א ־ ָ ל ־ מִ תְִ נֵא ִ י בְ אַרְ עָא ֶ הֱוֵא theua b·aro·a di thshna mn - kl - mlkuth·a tread it down, and break it she-shall-be (A) in·earth·the (A) that (A) she-shall-be -diverse (A) from (A) all-of (A) kingdom·the (A) in pieces. תְ דִ ַ אַרְ עָא ־ ָ ל וְתֵ אכֻ ל u·thakl kl - aro·a u·thdushn·e and·she-shall-devour (A) all-of (A) earth·the (A) and·she-shall-thresh·her (A)

: וְתְַ קִ ַ u·thdqn·e : and·she-shall-cpulverize·her (A)

26 But the judgment shall וְ ָלְ טָ נֵ יִִ ב וְדִ ינָא 7:26 u·din·a ithb u·shltn·e sit, and they shall take away and·adjudication·the (A) he-shall-sit (A) and·authority-of·him (A) his dominion, to consume and to destroy [it] unto the end. ־ עַד לְ הבָדָ ה לְהְַמָדָ ה יְהַעְ ieodun l·eshmde u·l·eubde od - they-shall-cause-to -pass-away (A) to·to-cexterminate-of (A) and·to·to-cdestroy-of (A) unto (A)

27 And the kingdom and ְ חת מַלְכְ וָת ִ י רְ בתָ א וְ ָלְ טָ נָא מַלְ כתָ ה 7:27 u·mlkuth·e u·shltn·a u·rbuth·a di mlkuth thchuth dominion, and the greatness and·kingdom·the (A) and·jurisdiction·the (A) and·majesty·the (A) that-of (A) kingdom-of (A) under (A) of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the ,saints of the most High עֶלְ ינִ י קִַ יֵ י לְ עַ יְהִ יבַ ת ְמַ ָא ־ ָ ל kl - shmi·a ieibth l·om qdishi oliunin whose kingdom [is] an all-of (A) heavens·the (A) she-was-granted (A) to·people-of (A) holy-ones-of (A) supreme-ones (A) everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and .obey him לֵ ָלְ טָ נַָא וְ כֹל עָלַ מַלְ כת מַלְ כתֵ mlkuth·e mlkuth olm u·kl shltni·a l·e kingdom-of·him (A) kingdom-of (A) eon (A) and·all-of (A) authorities·the (A) to·him (A)
