Potbelly of Kettering had Hop Trotter, A Limp Pig Gold and ‘Luverly Jubilee', and Nobby’s of Guilsborough sold out fast with their Biggus Dickus and T’owd Navigation. In all a great selection of fine ales chosen as always by Farmer Norton from Orlingbury. It must have been because we were on sacred ground that the weather over the weekend of the Waendel Beer Festival was the best it had been for weeks, which graciously allowed our drinkers the opportunity to sit and imbibe in the sunshine. So much so that we completely sold out of ale on the Saturday night at around 11.30pm, just perfect! Our thoughts are now on our annual festival, ‘the big one’ in September (27th-29th), and if you would like to grab a part of this by either sponsoring a tub of ale or the collectors glasses or even by advertising in our full colour programme then contact Alan Piggot on 01933 624222 or email him at [email protected] and he can give you full details. A big thank you to our sponsors prop-search.com and Discover Wellingborough without whose financial assistance we would not be able to run such a great festival. Friday night kicked off in the usual style with Dr Thank you again to everyone concerned and two Busker bringing his unique twist on traditional songs to charities will be benefitting from the proceeds, the Rotary our awaiting audience and the drink flowed heavily, then and the Lifeboat Appeal. again on Saturday night our 9 piece band The Skatoons took to the stage and had people dancing continuously See you in September whilst enjoying the fine ales and ciders.
