: Humanitarian Snapshot (April - May 2013)

Highlights The incidence and humanitarian impact of floods, landslides and whirlwinds increased in April and May Some 220,000 persons were affected or displaced in about 198 natural disasters during April and May – an increase since the last reporting period.

Floods from Bengawan Solo River inundated parts six district ISLANDS

Whirlwind, despite being the second most frequent disaster event, caused a comparatively smaller humanitarian impact than other disaster types.
