(Amendment No.4) Disabled Persons Parking Places TORFAEN COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS) (TRAFFIC REGULATION AND SPEED LIMIT) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2019 (AMENDMENT NO.4) DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES NOTICE is hereby given that Torfaen County Borough Council in accordance with the Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England & Wales) Regulations 1996 and the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), as amended, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers and, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, propose to make the above Order and to amend the restrictions on the following roads:- Street Ward 149 Manor Road Abersychan 81 Capel Newydd Avenue Blaenavon 31 Woodland Street Blaenavon 27 Coed Lee Coed Eva 96 Oakfield Road Llantarnam 75 Ventnor Road Llantarnam 8 Presteigne Walk Two Locks 123 Bowleaze Two Locks 56 Charles Street Panteg 20 Charles Street Panteg 2 Park Street Panteg The Coach House, Commercial Street Panteg 19 Woodfield Road New Inn 52 Golf Road New Inn 68 Greenwood Avenue Upper Cwmbran 87 Ty Box Road Pontnewydd 109 Henllys Way Two Locks 143 Newman Road Trevethin 15 Cae Derwen Two Locks To implement Disabled Persons Parking Places on parts of the roads identified above. Street Ward 5 Oaklands Road Sebastapol To remove the parking places on parts of the roads identified above. The proposed Order shall have the effect of amending the Torfaen County Borough Council (Various Roads) (Traffic Regulation and Speed Limit) Consolidation Order 2019, in that the Map Schedules specified in the First Schedule to the Order shall be amended and the Map Schedule specified in the Second Schedule to the Order shall be implemented. A copy of the proposed Order, Maps indicating the new restrictions, together with the Statement of Reasons for proposing the Order is available to view online via https://www.torfaen.gov.uk/roadsandpavements. Which essentially, is to authorise that part of the roads specified be used as a parking place for vehicles displaying a valid Blue Badge or provide additional on-street parking for local residents where existing parking places are being removed.
