Introduction I, like every other high student I know, own a Texas Instruments 83 Plus graphing calculator. However, it is quite bulky and expensive. I would rather not transport it around. Ohjelmien valinnan kriteereinä ovat tarkoituksen- mukaisuus, sujuva käyttö ja asennuksen sekä de facto -standardien mukainen notaatio. Tärkeä kriteeri on laajennettu monialustaisuus, jolla tässä tarkoitetaan monipuolisen käyttöjärjestelmäsopivuuden lisäksi myös ohjelman tukea erilaisille tietojenkäsittelylaitteille ja tietoverkossa tapahtuvalle laskennalle. Liitteessä on nimetty noin 200 erilaista ja eri tarkoituksiin sopivaa matemaattista tietokoneohjelmaa. Jokaisen ohjelman asennus ja kevyt käyttö on testattu yk- sinkertaisilla ohjelmaan sopivilla operaatioilla. Järjestelmäalustana on käytetty Microsoft Windowsia, Ubuntun Linuxia ja Applen iOS:iä. Suurin osa asenne- tuista ja testatuista ohjelmista jää tässä sopimattomuutensa vuoksi kokonaan käsittelemättä. Muutamia ohjelmia käsitellään tarkastikin. Työssä esitellään mielestäni sopivimpia ohjelmavalintoja erilaisilla yksinkertaisilla matemaattisilla operaatioilla ja tuodaan monipuolisesti -
