The McKee Production Station processes oil and gas from the Company’s McKee and Mangahewa groups of wellsites and includes electricity generation and LPG production facilities. Located to the south of the production station, the McKee Power Plant was completed and commissioned during the 2012-2014 period. This 100 MW electricity generating facility provides both peak and base load power for the national grid. This report for the period July 2014 to June 2015 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s environmental performance during the period under review, and the results and environmental effects of the Company’s activities. The Company’s subsidiaries, Todd Energy Limited and Nova Energy Limited, hold fifteen resource consents for the sites, which include a total of 144 conditions setting out the requirements that the Company must satisfy. The subsidiaries hold two consents to allow for the take and use water, five consents to discharge stormwater and wastewater, four consents to discharge emissions into the air, one consent to allow the diversion of unnamed tributaries of the Mangahewa Stream, and three consents regarding the installation and use of structures.

Addressing the committee Members of the public have an opportunity to address the committee during the public forum section or as a deputation. A public forum section of up to 30 minutes precedes all committee meetings. Each speaker during the public forum section of a meeting may speak for up to 10 minutes. In the case of a group a maximum of 20 minutes will be allowed. A request to make a deputation should be made to the secretariat within two working days before the meeting. The chairperson will decide whether your deputation is accepted. The chairperson may approve a shorter notice period. No more than four members of a deputation may address a meeting. A limit of 10 minutes is placed on a speaker making a presentation. In the case of a group a maximum of 20 minutes will be allowed.
