TLY C Reasons to Change TRI S Adobe recently released a new version of RoboHelp for upgrading. D N When Adobe purchased Macromedia (and RoboHelp) in 2005, many RoboHelp A users feared that RoboHelp would become obsolete, so they switched to MadCap Flare. MadCap Flare has a very similar interface to RoboHelp because former RoboHelp HTED developers created it. G Possible Solutions PYRI MadCap Flare – www.madcapsoftware.com/products/flare CO – Adobe RoboHelp – www.adobe.com/products/robohelp MS My Suggested Solution TE S Y I suggest that we purchase MadCap Flare because: S IAL Flare boasts in being compatible with Office 2007 and Windows Vista. RoboHelp is only compatible with Windows 2000/XP and up to Office 2003. NC A Flare can automatically generate Microsoft Word 2007documents, while RoboHelp N does not support Microsoft Office 2007 (what we use at QED). If we could generate FI Word documents from the online help software, we would save time by not having to copy and paste all the text between files whenever we need to update the content. ED Flare uses XML markup, which is more current in the industry. RoboHelp only uses Q R HTML markup.
