CARATTERISTICHE DEL TERRITORIO I dossi montuosi di Chianni e Rivalto, nel comune di Lajatico, si collegano in modo acclive in direzione del versante volterrano. Lajatico è situata sulla sommità di uno sperone collinare alla confluenza della Valle dell'Era e della Valle dello Sterza, sulla direttrice della Sarzanese Valdera. La costante e seducente presenza storica dei borghi che dominano i colli, non sminuisce la bellezza dell’ambiente naturale. I borghi sono circondati da campi coltivati e boschi di cerri, querce e castagni. L’attività vinicola è sicuramente l’attività produttiva più significativa, prodotta nelle fattorie di Miemo, Le Pratacce di Montevaso. La parte meridionale della Provincia di Pisa si sviluppa attorno all’alto bacino del fiume Cecina. Il suo ampio fondovalle, percorso parallelamente da Est a Ovest dalla Strada 68 della Val di Cecina, ha rappresentato l’asse verso il quale, da sempre, sono stati attratti numerosi abitanti delle vicine zone collinari, sia per la vocazione agricola del territorio, sia per l’utilizzo storico delle acque fluviali a scopi produttivi come ad esempio per l’estrazione del Salgemma.

    DAVID FOSTER “I believe that everyone gets three rounds in their life,” says musician, songwriter, composer, arranger, producer, and recording artist David Foster. “For me, two are completed and I’m on to Round Three. I think you have to change it up every round. My mantra is retreat and attack in another direction, which I’ve done twice. Now I'm going to do it again.” Foster’s first round was as a studio musician, arranger, and recording artist. His second round was becoming one of the most successful songwriters and record producers in history — shepherding albums that have collectively sold in the hundreds of millions. This period of his four-decade career also found him creating The David Foster Foundation and volunteering his time and talent to over 400 charities, as well as becoming a household name as a performer throughout Asia where he tours annually. For his third round, Foster is gearing up to take on Broadway with several projects. These include writing the music for a new musical about the iconic, animated character Betty Boop, which will be directed by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell. He is writing the music for a musical based on the Amy Bloom novel and New York Times bestseller Lucky Us, directed by Tony Award-nominee Sheryl Kaller. Foster is also developing a scripted narrative one-man show based on the story of his career that he will perform himself. Musical arrangement: Luca Longobardi This exhibition is a visual and sound creation bringing together the immense production of Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890), a tormented genius of painting. The contrasting journey suggests the artist’s inner world and expressive force through the density of colour and his penetrating and challenging gaze. A Provencal light is opposed to the darker one of the artist’s first pieces of art; sun-drenched landscapes are followed by interior compositions, a reflection of a tormented soul expressed in the force of the stroke and the intensity of its palette. The artist’s singular style is revealed in this exhibition, evoking a disproportionate, chaotic and poetic world.

E' stato attivato il Centro Situazioni che si manterrà in costante contatto con i Sindaci le associazioni di volontariato e le strutture operative dei comuni e dell'Unione Valdera al fine di mantenere i presidi e il monitoraggio del territorio. Si raccomanda alla popolazione le principali norme di autoprotezione: RISCHIO IDRAULICO Evitate di passare nei pressi di aree a rischio soprattutto durante o dopo temporali o forti piogge. Se vivi o lavori in una area a rischio elevato (P3) o molto elevato (P4) metti in atto con particolare zelo i seguenti consigli in quanto il rischio di accadimento di un evento è maggiore che in altre zone.
