6 BACK BAND A back band builds up casing or baseboard. A rosette is used in place of a mitred corner ROSETTE around doors and windows. Casing is used to frame doors and windows, CASING covering the gap between the jamb and drywall. STOP & Stop and screen moulding prevents the door or SCREEN screen from passing through the opening. A header replaces the top casing, refl ecting a HEADER Victorian or Federal style. WINDOW The window stool replaces the bottom casing STOOL and is often used with a window liner and header.

COMPOSITE MOULDING WALL

Composite moulding is a combination of wood moulding and a wood pulp material. The pulp material is applied to a solid wood moulding. It creates an intricate design with the appearance of hand-carved wood at a fraction of the cost. Composite moulding ACM 5610 1-15/16" x 4" 33mm x 102mm will accept stain and paint, as well as gold leafi ng and faux fi nishing. A further advantage of composite moulding is that multiple patterns can be combined for a custom look. Ideal for millwork and design professionals, composite moulding is available in long lengths and is easily installed with conventional wood-working tools.
