TKR presents hampers to TTPS to give to the vulnerable

The Trinbago Knightriders (TKR) have presented hampers to the Police Service (TTPS) to assist vulnerable persons in Central Trinidad and Tobago.

With the with the HADCO Group of Companies, TKR made the presentation on Thursday at HADCO’s Head office in Barataria.

Overall, TKR presented 1,000 hampers which will also go to the Living Water Community, the Rotary Club of Maraval, and the Foundation Solid Rock. These hampers will go to persons mostly affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith, received the hampers on behalf of the TTPS. These will go to persons in Felicity and Enterprise in Central Trinidad, and to residents in Tobago.

In his brief remarks, Colin Borde, Manager of TKR, expressed gratitude to the HADCO Group for partnering with his team, in their drive to feed those adversely affected by the COVID-19 crisis. He said TKR shared the same philosophy as the HADCO Group to provide a service of giving back.

John Hadad, Chief Executive Officer, of HADCO, gave thanks to all the organizations represented at the event for contributing to the initiative. “This small initiative is an opportunity for organizations to work collectively”.

Commissioner Griffith expressed gratitude to all the organizations present at the handover, especially TKR and HADCO. He said the “TTPS is more than roadblocks, raids, and fighting crime.” He said the TTPS would be assisting in the distribution of the hampers.

The food hampers will be distributed in North, South, Central, West and Tobago.

Several of the TKR players were present for the handover of the hampers – Keiron Pollard, Dwayne and Darren Bravo, , and .
