I started the Foundation course at the ISC in 2008 and moved to my chosen degree in Hospitality and Tourism. I can’t believe that I have just graduated. I was working so hard and I thought that my graduation was so far away that I would never see it. But now I am standing here in a gown. It’s fabulous!

I would advise other young people to really take advantage of such an opportunity and to understand how this will help them in life in the future. The knowledge that they will get if they come to the UK to study will get them a long way. It’s priceless; it’s like the most important thing you can get. It’s a great . I chose to study in the UK because I wanted to experience a new culture and lifestyle. I enjoy being with students from many different nationalities.

The course was very useful and I found that most of the modules we studied at the ISC are of a similar style to what we are going to study at university. Teaching at the ISC is also very similar to the university’s system and the tutors show us how to be prepared for undergraduate study. Examinations and coursework are very close to what we will do at university.

I hope to do a placement in my third year, and eventually start working for a bank or a big company.

I decided to join the University of Surrey because of its achievements and location. It is close to London and the seaside is not far. The University of Surrey has a very good Students’ Union which has lots of activities so you can meet your new friends from all over the world and enjoy fun times.

Studying at the ISC was the platform for me to start my university life and it made studying easier.

In terms of my future plans, I would like to finish my degree and then I hope to apply for an MBA at the University of Surrey.
