  • Shakespeare on Film, Video & Stage
William Shakespeare on Film, Video and Stage Titles in bold red font with an asterisk (*) represent the crème de la crème – first choice titles in each category. These are the titles you’ll probably want to explore first. Titles in bold black font are the second- tier – outstanding films that are the next level of artistry and craftsmanship. Once you have experienced the top tier, these are where you should go next. They may not represent the highest achievement in each genre, but they are definitely a cut above the rest. Finally, the titles which are in a regular black font constitute the rest of the films within the genre. I would be the first to admit that some of these may actually be worthy of being “ranked” more highly, but it is a ridiculously subjective matter. Everything we create is made in Stratford-upon-Avon, WORK WORLDWIDE IN 2012/13 Shakespeare’s home town, where we’ve trained generations of actors, directors and crafts people and continue to develop talent for the future. 2012/13 has been a very successful year for the Company. This Review highlights just some of the work we have shared with more than 1.5 million people worldwide this year, and it illustrates the ways in which we have given young people a great first experience of Shakespeare and shared skills with amateur theatre makers. Our commitment to excellence continues more strongly than ever, with a determination to keep Shakespeare at the centre of what we do, both in a historical and contemporary context. We have a new strategy to take us forward into the next decade. At its heart is the entire First Folio. We will stage every one of Shakespeare’s 36 plays on the stage of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre over the next six years, return the Swan Theatre to the work of Shakespeare’s contemporaries and other writers, and reopen our studio theatre, The Other Place, as a creative hub for new work, experimentation INTRODUCTION and artist development, led by Deputy Artistic Director, Erica Whyman.

ESTUDIOS LINGÜÍSTICOS Y LITERARIOS: TEORÍA Y APLICACIONES DIRECTORA: MARTA CEREZO MORENO 1 ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS I wish to thank John Wyver, whose contribution to the development of TV theatre has been the main inspiration for this doctoral dissertation. His generosity has been outstanding for having granted me two interviews where many clarifications and useful answers were offered to carry out this research. My heartiest acknowledgements belong to Dr. Marta Cerezo Moreno for her great supervising task, enthusiasm, optimism and energy; for her rigor at correction together with all the methodological and theoretical suggestions she has been making over these last three years. My acknowledgements should be extended to the teachers at the English Studies Department and other Humanities Departments at the UNED. Over a series of seminars, I have had the chance to meet some of them and their advice and contributions have been highly beneficial for my work. Also, I need to thank my partner Olga Escobar Feito for her unconditional support, for her kind words, her frequent smiles and her infinite patience over three years of coexistence with a frequently absent-minded PhD student buried in books and paper. It only remains to dedicate this work to my family, friends, colleagues and students. February 17, 2017 2 Table of Contents 0. • Reminder List for Distinguished Achievements During 2012 Reminder List of Productions Eligible for Awards
REMINDER LIST FOR DISTINGUISHED ACHIEVEMENTS DURING 2012 REMINDER LIST OF PRODUCTIONS ELIGIBLE FOR AWARDS All films that have qualified for consideration for 2012 Academy Awards in the non-specialized categories are listed alphabetically by title. Voters making selections in their own branch categories list only film titles on their ballots, not the individuals responsible for the various achievements. For that reason, as well as for reasons of printing time and convenience of using this pamphlet, full credit rosters are not provided for the listed films. An exception to the above exists in the four Acting categories, where simply listing titles would not provide enough voting information. Actors Branch members filling out their Nominations ballots must indicate both titles and the particular performers they are voting for. For that reason, the Reminder List provides a listing of up to fifty cast members for each film. Pictures eligible in the Animated Feature Film, Documentary Feature and Foreign Language Film categories are also eligible in the Best Picture category, provided they meet the qualifications for the category. Foreign Language films are eligible for awards in other categories provided they meet the requirements of Awards Rules Two and Three. The reminder list is also available online at www.oscars.org/awards/academyawards/rules/reminderlist.html A Notes ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER Benjamin Walker. Dominic Cooper. Anthony Mackie.
