1 Cannot be used to Upgrade BES Client Access Licenses (CALs) to other perpetual licenses such as EMM Regulated or Secure Work Space for iOS or Android. 2 An Upgrade is a new major version release of the covered software that provides functional enhancements at the platform-level which materially advance the software’s capabilities. 3 An Update is a minor release that provides new and/or additional features or functionality. An Update may also be referred to as a “Feature Release” or “Service Pack.” 4 Upgrade and Update rights are available as long as a valid BlackBerry Software Assurance subscription is in place. If a customer lets their BlackBerry Software Assurance subscription lapse, the right to Upgrade or Update perpetual licenses will be removed. In order to begin adding licenses to a BlackBerry Software Assurance subscription post expiry, back payment to the previous BlackBerry Software Assurance subscription expiry date will be required.
