Special Operations Warrior Foundation Samantha Ponder is a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in (SOWF) provides fully funded educations, Global Studies. Samantha is the “cradle to career,” to the surviving children daughter of Army Sergeant First Class James Ponder who lost his life in 2005 of Special Operations Forces (Army, Navy, while assigned to the 160th Special Air Force and Marine Corps) lost in the line Operations Aviation Regiment. of duty as well children of all Medal of Honor Recipients. SOWF also provides immediate financial assistance to severely wounded, ill and injured Special Operations Personnel. Funding includes tuition, room and board, transportation, unlimited tutoring, mentoring, college to career transition, internships, assistance with job placement and more. SOWF guides each child through their educational journey and continues involvement beyond graduation.

SEPTEMBER 25, 2021, 6PM – 9:30PM

Beginning at 6:00pm, SOWF, along with actor Cole Hauser (co-star of the current popular show: Yellowstone), and actor Vince Vaughn (co-star of many popular films, including Hacksaw Ridge, Wedding Crashers and others), will host a silent auction and reception featuring assorted items contributed from across the country. At 7:00pm, our dinner and live program will commence, followed by a live auction with a variety of five appealing items. We will conclude the evening with a final interactive opportunity to support our surviving children, surviving spouses and wounded.
