Sesión Legislativa Ordinaria SENADO DE PUERTO RICO R. del S. 873 24 de septiembre de 2018 Presentada por el señor Pérez Rosa RESOLUCIÓN Para expresar a nombre del Senado de Puerto Rico, la más sincera felicitación y reconocimiento al equipo “Los Capitanes” de Arecibo, cuerpo técnico, gerencia y su fanaticada, por haber logrado obtener el Campeonato del Baloncesto Superior Nacional en la Temporada de 2018. EXPOSICIÓN DE MOTIVOS El Equipo “Los Capitanes de Arecibo”, fue fundado en el año 1946, bajo la tutela de Wilfredo Franco, Tingo Díaz, Piro Méndez y otros. Al día de hoy han obtenido siete (7) campeonatos y once (11) sub-campeonatos. Los Capitanes de Arecibo demostraron durante esta gran temporada, lo que es ser poseedores de un gran espíritu de lucha y ardua competencia, logrando así convertirse en Campeones de la Liga de Baloncesto Superior Nacional 2018 y llenando de orgullo a todos los arecibeños, y a los fanáticos de toda la Isla. Este Campeonato fue producto del gran esfuerzo y trabajo, tanto de los jugadores, como de su equipo técnico y gerencial, los cuales lo dejaron todo en la cancha obteniendo así el Campeonato de la Liga de Baloncesto Superior Nacional. Por todo lo anterior, el Senado del Gobierno de Puerto Rico extiende la más sincera felicitación y admiración a los jugadores Ángel “Piwi” García, Guillermo Díaz, Elonu Chinemelu, Walter Hodge, Denis Clemente, Rafael A.
