BALTIC CUP 2014 Regulations

I Participation Conditions

1.1. The football associations of , , and are invited to enter their Men’s A National Teams for the Baltic Cup 2014. 1.2. Baltic Cup 2014 matches are played in accordance with the FIFA Laws of the Game and the present regulations. All matches will count as official friendly matches. 1.3. The national associations undertake to observe the principles of Fair Play.

II Tournament Schedule and System

2.1. The tournament will be played in a knock-out system. On 29 May 2014 two semi-finals will be played as follows: 1st semi-final: 29.05.2014, 17:00, Ventspils OC Stadium, Finland (marked as home team) – Lithuania (marked as away team) 2nd semi-final: 29.05.2014, 20:15, Liepaja “Daugava” Stadium, Latvia (marked as home team) – Estonia (marked as away team)

2.2. Winners of the semi-finals will advance to the final. Losers of the semi-finals will play in the 3rd place match. Team from the 2nd semi-final will be marked as home team in the final and 3rd place match.

2.3. The final and the 3rd place match will be played on 31 May 2014 as follows: 3rd place match: 31.05.2014, 14:00, Ventspils OSC Stadium Final match: 31.05.2014, 20:00, Liepaja “Daugava” Stadium

2.4. The winner of the final is the Baltic Cup 2014 winner. The loser of the final is the Baltic Cup 2014 runner-up. The winner of the 3rd place match finishes 3rd in the Baltic Cup 2014. The loser of the 3rd place match finishes 4th in the Baltic Cup 2014.

III Match Regulations

3.1. Teams must hand their match sheets to the referee at least 75 minutes before kick-off. 3.2. Duration of one match is 90 minutes (two periods of 45 minutes) with an interval of 15 minutes. 3.3. No extra time will be played. In case of a draw penalty shoot-out will be used to determine the winner.

IV Players and officials

4.1. Each player taking part in the Baltic Cup 2014 must be eligible to represent his country and in possession of a valid passport or identity card containing a photograph and date of birth. 4.2. Number of the players in match report for one match is 23. A maximum of 6 substitutions can be made during one match by one team. 4.3. 7 officials (one out of seven must be a team doctor) and 12 substitute players (maximum) can be seated at substitute benches during a match. 4.4. Sent off player is automatically suspended till the end of the Baltic Cup 2014.

V Referees

5.1. As agreed by the associations beforehand the referees are provided as follows (all FIFA category, all from neutral countries): 29.05.2014 Finland – Lithuania – referees from Latvia 29.05.2014 Latvia – Estonia – referees from Lithuania 31.05.2014 3rd place match – depends on teams 31.05.2014 Final – depends on teams

VI Awards

6.1. Teams finishing in the top 3 will be rewarded with cups and medals: 30 sets maximum. If a FA requests more, it covers production for additional sets of medals.

VII Financial provisions

7.1. Each team bears its own travel, accommodation and board costs. Also, each association bears the cost for referees from their association regarding their match fee and international travel. 7.2. Latvian FA bears the cost of the stadium rent, security, match organisation, training facilities, local bus transport (if needed), and referees accommodation.

VIII Tickets

8.1. Each team participating in a match in question will receive 5 VIP and 30 first category complimentary tickets. 8.2. The other two teams not participating in the match in question will receive 2 VIP and 10 complimentary tickets. 8.3. In addition a minimum of 200 tickets will be reserved for the supporters of the teams participating in a match in question. 8.4. The price of the tickets and the deadlines will be communicated by the Latvian Football Association.

IX Commercial rights

9.1. All commercial and media rights relating to the tournament and matches shall belong to Latvian Football Association.

X Unforeseen Circumstances and matters not mentioned in the regulations

10.1. Any matters not provided for in these regulations, such as cases of force majeure, will be decided by the associations in question. Such decisions are final. 10.2. Any unforeseen matters not mentioned in the regulations such as but not limited to: protests, disputes, unsporting behavior will be reviewed by competitions’ organizational committee, consisting of general secretaries/directors of participating Football associations.
