Magistrates Courts deal with:

 In our office – filing, answering the phone, counter enquiries, checking our music (CD’s, LP’s, Singles, Tapes)  On air presenting – putting a program to air, training conducted on one on one basis, as and when required, most presenters put a 2 hour program to air per week.  Bingo – callers, runners, general helpers  Cleaning – cleaning of studios and office complex, dusting, vacuuming, washing floors etc.  Gardening/General handyperson – keeping our small garden tidy, small maintenance jobs etc  Production – voice-overs for promos and sponsorship reads needed, you have to feel comfortable whilst reading these promos. Writing scripts for these promos, organising voices and music.

2. Botanic gardens

The gardens hold treasure to 300 varieties of roses and 130 varieties of dahlias. Stroll through the gardens all year round and capture the beauty hidden within, showcasing some rare and important species the Portland Botanic Gardens is home to outstanding species such as the Cordyline Australis, Wigandia Caracasana and Rhus Viminalis. Enjoy a BBQ or picnic amongst the rose gardens or the native garden beds that include many species that are indigenous to the Glenelg Shire. The Portland Botanic Gardens are open to the public Monday to Sunday from sunrise to sunset. 3. Fauna Park: This park is famous for its native wildlife. Has an excellent modern playground in a natural setting plus BBQ and picnic facilities with ample parking space. Public toilets include an accessible toilet. A great time for the whole family.

4. Foreshore: Spectacular view of the harbour with a vast range of playground equipment suitable for all ages, including a skate park for the older children. Also features three picnic areas with BBQ facilities (one of these areas features a shelter).

5. Fawthrop Lagoon The path around Fawthrop Lagoon is fully paved, and suitable for walking, running, wheelchairs, prams and bicycles. There is a steep rise and fall in the track and a wooden foot bridge on the northern end circuit and wooden walkways and the Rotary Bridge on the South end circuit. It would be advisable to have assistance with wheelchairs in these areas.

Fawthrop Lagoon is a natural wetland and contains approximately 150 species of bird throughout the year including black swans, pelicans, red-tailed black cockatoos and royal spoonbills.

Other attractions include powerhouse Museum on Glenelg Street, Henty Park and the Botanical Gardens, Rotary Bridge, a bird hide located on the west section of the lagoon, free undercover barbecues and exercise equipment located behind the soccer field.

Fawthrop Lagoon is located on Glenelg Street. Parking is available on the left-hand side of the road 100 m past the Power House Museum on Hood Street behind the soccer field and view Street (not suitable for wheelchairs) Parking is also available across the road from Henty Park.
