The first floor has a family bathroom with a claw foot bath, which serves two double bedrooms, one of which has a feature fireplace. The guest bedroom is also on the first floor and has a walk-in wardrobe and an en suite that was re-fitted around two years ago with a walk-in double shower. On the top floor is a study landing, off which is a double bedroom Subwith a vaulted Head ceiling and the principal bedroom, which also has a vaulted ceiling, an en suite wet room and wonderful views to Bredon Hill. Gardens The 5-bar gate opens to gravel parking for several cars and the mature south facing grounds are not only beautiful but a real wildlife haven. The grounds are enclosed with post and wire fencing and have been arranged in three compartments. Throughout are strategically planted well-stocked borders of evergreens and perennial plants that provide all-year round interest and colour, along with a climbing wisteria on the front of the house. There are a range of mature trees that include two majestic oak trees, silver birch, a mulberry tree and various fruit trees. Adjacent to the house and gravel parking is the more formal lawned garden, which has a hazel grove along the western boundary. Adjacent to the house is a pergola with climbing roses and clematis, beneath which is a paved and pebbled pathway and next to it is a herb garden enclosed with dwarf box hedging. At the bottom of the lawned garden is a low wall with a rose arch Subthat opens Head to a vegetable garden. Here can be found three timber sheds, six raised beds and fruiting plants that include red, white and black currants, raspberries, tayberries and gooseberry. From the vegetable garden, a gate opens to an orchard with a range of fruit trees including apple, pear, plum, damson, cherry and quince. From the orchard is a wonderful view across the Subneighbouring Head countryside to Bredon Hill. Sadly he became ill in 1996 and for the rest of his life suffered from a series of debilitating conditions which left him increasingly incapacitated. Despite this, he was always full of ideas, and as he lost the ability to carry out physical tasks himself he became increasingly effective in persuading others. He was very successful in getting local landowners and farm- ers to co-operate as was shown by the success of the Carrant Catchment Area Restoration John leading a walk in Kemerton Wood, November 2007 Project, which continues to grow.
