Every semester, the AS open their doors to students around campus to .... promote their services, along with Cadena/Transfer Center and the Workforce Center. On Thursday, February 23, they held their annual Open House with a "Viva Las Vegas" theme. The Student Center gave away free food all day, along with free pool and arcade games. "Theres nothing like hanging out and playing pool all day," said student Patrick Gonzoles. "This is an awesome way to promote services here!" A raffle was also held for students who participated in visiting each bungalow. After learning what each department had to offer, they were entered in a drawing to win free AMC movie tickets. "Many students don't know about this area because its here in the corner," said Julie Law, AS Vice President. Bungalows 1406-1409 on the Southeast side of FC offer programs for students to become active and help with their education. The Student Center is located in 1406, which offers students a haven to hang out, play games, and enjoy their breaks. Next door lies the Cadena/Transfer Center, whose programs have helped promote student development and facilitate transfers to universities. Not only do they offer counseling services, but every month they offer tours and workshops to those who want to continue their education at a higher level. Room 1409 holds the Workforce Center, assisting students with job opportunities, resumes and interview skills.
