Volunteer Experience New York Blood Center, New York, NY Participated in hosting and volunteering at two blood drives on Touro College Manhattan Campus throughout 2014. Provided assistance to New York Blood Bank employees throughout the drive as well as providing attention to those who donated blood. Global Brigades Association, Medical Brigade, Honduras, January 2013 The medical brigade mission is to work with licensed medical professionals and community health workers to provide comprehensive health services in rural communities with limited access to healthcare. Prior to the trip duties included fundraising, collecting medications and medical supplies and preparing educational activities. During the weeklong brigade, volunteered in assisting during triage and intake of patients, shadowing Physicians and Physician Assistants during consultations, help prepare medications in the pharmacy under the direction of the pharmacist.
