NEWS RELEASE XM SATELLITE RADIO INDYCAR SERIES DRIVER BRYAN HERTA WINS THE FIRESTONE INDY 400 7/31/2005 Washington D.C., July 31, 2005 -- Bryan Herta, the driver of XM Satellite Radio's IndyCar Series race car, today won the Firestone Indy 400 in Brooklyn, Michigan. Herta, who drives the No. 7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone, held off his Andretti Green Racing teammate Dan Wheldon by 0.0374 of a second -- the 11th closest finish in IndyCar Series history. Herta won his third pole position of the 2005 IndyCar season during Saturday's qualifying at the Michigan International Speedway.
