As we look back on the year, we reflect on a few of Association the items facing our membership today: • Bird flu – we actually had a northern region who were forced to immediately cancel an already NSTRA Office started trial by the Department of Fish and Wildlife because of the bird flu epidemic. 203 N. Mill St. Plainfield, IN 46168 • Extremely harsh winter caused many trials to be conducted in snow, wind, and subarctic (317) 839-4059 temperatures. NSTRA OFFICERS • The partnership with Anheuser-Busch is so very pivotal for all of us regardless if we are involved PRESIDENT with NSTRA or not. A-B donated nearly $9M last year to conservation practices nationwide. This Chad Collison is a huge testament to not only our sport, but for all of our hunting, fishing, hiking, and outdoor enthusiasts. It’s very important we all watch these things carefully and take an active part in our 1st VICE PRESIDENT local areas. With personal efforts from each and every one of us, combined with companies such Scott Townsend as A-B, we can clearly make a difference and forge a path preserving the beauties God has so 2nd VICE PRESIDENT graciously given us!! Adam Fellers • It’s been spoken about for many years, but we are finally nearly finished with having a judging SECRETARY instructor package to be used nationwide to help our judging become more consistent from one Marilyn (Frank) Cunningham end of the country to the next. It has been a long, daunting task, but we hope to begin rolling it out shortly and have final approval at DOY. TREASURER John C. Davis • We had high hopes to have a completed online draw and database overhaul, however, none of us could predict the litany of issues we would face. As we began to work on resolving some of NSTRA OFFICE PERSONNEL the unforeseen problems, we inevitably created new ones, and so the snowball began. In the end, Julia Herwehe having fully heard the arduous cries from our membership, we officers chose to take a step back, Emily Perkins allow trial chairs to use either online draw or a chip draw, and really reassess the situation and take Diane Campbell a different approach. We put together a committee that can teach a computer programmer how to chip draw a trial in any possible situation, then we took a hard look at our database only to find out email: [email protected] its code was written in a prehistoric language we can’t simply roll over. Thus, we chose to hire a NSTRA: consultant, have the consultant listen to exactly what our needs are from members, officers, chip draw committee, and office personnel, and then locate a company capable of putting all of this The magazine for NSTRA members together along with an updated website. We want one clean, turnkey package that is not segmented CREATIVE: and rushed at the last minute; as of today we have the consultant and a proposed programming Julie A. Carrier company. If the promoter averaged more than 1,000 paying service anti-steroid promos on television. Currently signed to WWE, as an ambassador and trainer, since December 2010. Michaels wrestled consistently for WWE, formerly the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), from 1988 until his first retirement in 1998. He held non- wrestling roles from 1998 to 2000 and resumed wrestling in 2002 until retiring ceremoniously in 2010.
