Buying or leasing: Federal Level • Buyers of BEVs pay no tax and no VAT on purchase. • No purchase tax • Tax regime for gasoline- and dieselcar is quite high compared to other countries. • Zero VAT • The tax/VAT advantages for BEVs is guaranteed to last until 2020. Owning: • Parliament: It should always be economically beneficial to choose zero emission • Low annual road tax before high emission • 50 % company car tax • By September 2017, the incentives has secured a sale of 120.000 BEVs in Norway so far.
