Tel: 01387 262960. www.solwayprint.co.uk 1 ENTRIES CLOSE 17th AUGUST 2019 NO LATE ENTRIES RULES 1. The Society shall be called the Hesket-New-Market Agricultural Society. 2. The Committee must be elected each year at the Subscribers’ Annual Meeting. 3. Subscribers of £5 or over are eligible for election to the Committee. The Society’s Premiums shall be open to all (except where specified). 4. Subscribers of £5.00 shall be ordinary members of the Society, and will be entitled to any number of entries in the Premiums at the fee stated. 5. No exhibitor to compete for more than one prize with the same animal, with the exception of classes marked *. 6. All Entry Fees shall accompany entries, such entries to be made only on the official form of the Society, and shall be remitted or made to the Secretaries only. 7. All stock shall be bona-fide property of the Exhibitor; its age shall be calculated up to the day of the Show; also to have been two months previous to the Show, the property of the exhibitor. 8. Protests shall be made in writing, accompanied by a deposit of £5 and shall not be entertained unless received by the 20th September 2019. The decision of the Committee shall be final and, if proved frivolous, the deposit shall be forfeited. 9. In the case of protests against the age of the animal, these should be made before judging, on the day of the Show, and the dispute shall be settled by the Judges. 10. The stewards are empowered to measure any horses entered which are subject to height restriction. Anyone objecting shall be disqualified. 11. All animals to be on ground by 10.00 am. On day of Show. No stock to be removed from the Show Field until after the Grand Parade. ALL PRIZE WINNERS MUST GO IN THE GRAND PARADE. 12. The Committee do not hold themselves responsible for any loss of property or incidents to stock on the Show Ground. 13. All winning trophies are the responsibility of the recipient and should be returned in good order. 14. In the event of a show cancellation entry fees will stand on for the following year. 15. Could all Trophy winners please return their trophies to the secretary one week prior to the show. 2 ENTRIES CLOSE 17th AUGUST 2019 NO LATE ENTRIES BIO SECURITY RULES HESKET-NEW-MARKET AGRICULTURAL SHOW Notice to all visitors and exhibitors Please read and observe the following: All vehicles must be clean before arrival. All exhibitors, judges and visitors must ensure they arrive in clean clothing and when leaving the animal area be sure their footwear is clean. There will be hand washing facilities and disinfection points at the entrance to the animal area. All stock handlers must wash after handling livestock. All Cattle and Sheep will be visually inspected by a vet when being unloaded into the animal area. All Sheep to be accompanied by AML 1 (movement) MV/CAE Health Declaration form to showground. All Cattle to be accompanied by a Passport. Our On Site Biosecurity Officer is Richard Brough if you need any assistance. Sponsor: Barbara Bell The Jock Scott Perpetual Memorial Challenge Cup will be awarded to the Champion Fell Pony with Champion Rosette Mr J W Strong will give The Willie Winder Perpetual Memorial Cup for the Best Riding Fell Pony. Mr Rawlinson will give The Thornbeck Trophy for best Fell Foal (Class 5). All competitors will receive a gift of sweets. 12. Best Lead Rein Pony 12.2hh and under ridden by a child 8 yrs old and under. Mrs Richardson, Heggle Lane will give the Richardson Trophy. 13. Best Riding Pony 12.2hh and under ridden by a child 12yrs old and under. Mrs Richardson, Heggle Lane will give the Caldew Trophy 14. Best Riding Pony exceeding 12.2hh but not exceeding 14.2hh, rider 16yrs and under Mrs Richardson, Heggle Lane will give the Allinson Cup. Sponsor: Dodd & Co 15.
