The Enterprise GIS Committee (at the December meeting) agreed with our proposal of using whatever credits available to us (after DWR Enterprise needs are met) to set up DWR-only classes with Esri instructors. We need to work out the details. I did learn that: -15 students can be accommodated for an in-person classroom class -13 students can be accommodated for a Virtual Classroom class -classes are either live-in-person or virtual classroom; can’t mix it up -2 day class will cost 20 credits -3 day class will cost 29 credits The top three courses, according to our assessment, are

There will be a meeting with Esri representatives at DWR on January 26 to discuss the use of the credits, among other items. I plan to attend that meeting and will work out the arrangements for these classes. You are welcome to attend this meeting, if you wish. I will send out details of the meeting when I get them.
We should also discuss prioritization of who gets to take these classes in the event that demand exceeds available seats.
Notes: Jane will proceed with scheduling the classes once we know how many credits are still available.
Item 4: Esri International Conference Tickets
Lead Jane Support Information Preparation Desired Outcome A recommendation to present to EGC on 1/12 Time Allocation 15 minutes Action Items Write and present recommendation DWR has 20 tickets to the International Users Conference July 11-15. We need to develop a proposal for how these tickets are distributed.
Notes: Jane will send out a zoomerang survey to the GIS listserver before the end of January. We will further discuss the prioritization if the need arises.
Item 5: DWR Intro to GIS Training (Informational)
We will get the numbers (by Division) of DWR employees who requested this training on their A & D training plans sometime this month, as soon as it has been compiled by the Training Office.
Jane will forward this to the group when it is available. We will need to recruit more instructors to meet the need.
