2013 SIG Leadership Workshop July 25-27, 2013, Station Square Hotel, Pittsburgh, PA
During the annual ONS Leadership Weekend, current and emerging ONS leaders gather together to collaborate, learn, and network, taking new energy back to their programs. Representatives from ONS chapters from all over the country attend, as well as Special Interest Group coordinators and coordinator-elects, the ONS Nominating Committee, and the ONS Board of Directors. Board members from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, the ONS Foundation, and ONS:Edge are also present. Each group holds meetings to take their specific leadership work to new levels, and attendees have the opportunity to expand their professional connections and meet leaders across the ONS community.
TARGET AUDIENCE This seminar is designed to meet the educational needs of ONS members in leadership positions. WORKSHOP GOAL
The goal of this program is to enable the learner to develop skills used in Special Interest Group leadership.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES Upon completion of this activity, attendees will be able to: Describe their role within ONS and their SIGs. Identify steps to maximize the success of their SIGs.

Participants who attend eligible sessions in their entirety and submit a completed evaluation within the specified time frame will receive CNE credit. ONS is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.
ONS is approved as a provider of continuing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #2850.
Accreditation as an American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission provider refers only to its continuing nursing education activities and does not imply ANCC Commission on Accreditation endorsement of any commercial products.
