Walton- Verona Cross Country Invitational Saturday, October 3, 2009 At the Walton-Verona Athletic Complex Walton-Verona High School proudly extends this invitation to compete in what is sure to be one of the tri-state area’s most anticipated cross country events. Situated in beautiful Verona, Kentucky at the newly built Walton- Verona Athletic Complex, this meet is conveniently located about 30 miles south of Cincinnati. This will be the third invitational held at our new facility. This will be our 14th year hosting an invitational (formerly at Big Bone Lick State Park) in which we have regularly had annual competition from over 20 teams from Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana in Varsity, JV and Middle School races. Team awards can be picked up after results are posted. Individual medals handed out in chute. $5.00 per individual for any race. You may not have more than 4 “individuals” in any limited race. Top 7 in varsity and top 10 in JV must be designated as team A. Extra teams will be designated B, C and so on and will be charged separate entry fees.

No one will be permitted to run in more than one race at the Walton-Verona Invitational.

Concessions and T-Shirts will be available. All athletes will receive complementary water after the race. There will be a nominal parking fee for non-school bus vehicles.

The King Louis XIV 5K Monday, September 28, 2009 – Start Time 5:00 Girls followed by Boys This race is run as a preview to the invitational. We will run a girls’ race and a boys’ race with no limit of runners. The top five runners from each team will be scored in each race. The boys’ and girls’ team scores will be combined to determine a school winner and recipient of the St. Joan of Arc Sword for 1 year. No concessions or t-shirts will be sold on this day.

Go approximately 3 15066 Porter Rd. miles. Take 1st exit (Verona Exit #72). Go left. After Verona, Ky, 41092 overpass, go approximately 0.1 miles. Make left just after Rice Auto Body Shop.
