CG Stangel Elementary Parent Teacher Organization Mission: Stangel PTO is a nonprofit organization working with the school and parents to provide quality enrichment opportunities with the primary focus of programs for education and school wide benefits.

General Board Members: Tania Haile, Becky Kraynek, Cherie Laabs Minutes Stangel PTO Monthly Meeting Thursday, January 7, 2016 Library 6:00 Welcome/Introduction Principal’s Report: Heidi Schroderus  Pick-up/drop-off in the circle drive is improving – Thanks to all the parents!  The school may shuffle lunch periods for two of the grades to make for a more peaceful lunch and recess.  Working on Cool Tools as reminders for the students of the Stangel Star Way. Teacher’s Report:  Powtunes was purchased for 6th grade and everyone is excited about using it.  Mrs. Feller sent a thank you note for the books this year. Treasurer’s Report: Cari Larsen  Submitted the WI Charitable Organization application; this was not completed in 2002 when the PTO formed and filed with the Federal Government.  Will be merging the two accounts, since Football Frenzy is no longer occurring. Fundraising: Schwan’s—Tania Haile All people who ordered during the kick off period were entered into a raffle; Genevieve Uecker was the winner. Old Business:  Winter Concert, December 18th. 1-3rd graders performed. It was a fantastic concert and the children were adorable. Ms. Staude did an excellent job preparing and leading the students. Thank you!

Upcoming/New Business:  Stangel night at Lincoln basketball game: 1/15/16  Stangel Art Auction: 1/21/16 at 6pm in the gym  Animal’s Pizza fundraiser this February. The Pick-Up date is March 3rd from 3:15-4:30 in the parking lot by the gym door. Please bring bags or boxes to take your pizzas home.  Tech Free Bingo Night planned for 2/11 from 6-7 pm. This is a Family event – play Bingo with your children! Free Hot Dogs will be provided.  The Basic level of SignUp Genius will be used for upcoming events; if the school/PTO feels that we would benefit from additional features, we can consider upgrading to Silver which will be $9.99/month but will allow for multiple sign up administrators. We will use this for the book fair and potluck this Spring.
