Principal Remarks “Making H.B. Rhame Elementary a GREAT AMERICAN School”

In honor of American Education Week our school is sponsoring a poetry contest as part of our school wide theme: “Making H.B. Rhame Elementary a GREAT AMERICAN School”.

Eligibility The contest is open to all students enrolled in grades 2nd -5th, who are interested in sharing their poetic works. Contest rules and information are listed below:

Essay Contest Guidelines  Only one entry per student  Essay must be the original work of the student.  The entry should reflect the school-wide theme: “Making H.B. Rhame Elementary a GREAT AMERICAN School”.  The entry should follow the judging criteria provided in the rubric.

Format Requirements  Essays may be typed or written in student’s best handwriting.  Essays may be written based on expository, persuasive or narrative writing.  Essays must be submitted to Ms. Boyd-Collins by 2:30 pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Winners will be announced Monday, November 20, 2017.
