Do you know of an outstanding individual who deserves recognition for his/her longstanding dedication and accomplishments in the field of environmental education (EE) in Colorado? If so, please nominate him/her for the Enos Mills Lifetime Achievement Award!

About the Enos Mills Lifetime Achievement Award This award is for significant achievement within the environmental education field and is named after Enos Mills, "founder" of Rocky Mountain National Park. It is presented by the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education (CAEE) each year to an individual for long-term, outstanding achievements and contributions to EE. Enos Mills spent his life discovering and experiencing nature, sharing its benefits with others through nature guiding and his writing and photographs, and working tirelessly to preserve it. Like Enos Mills, the award recipient has demonstrated leadership and commitment to the field of EE through a body of work.

For a person to be considered for the Enos Mills Lifetime Achievement Award, he/she must be nominated by his/her peers.

A. Resume/CV (4-page limit, with no less than 11-point font and 1-inch margins) Include relevant professional and volunteer experiences, as well as any awards received throughout the nominee’s entire career in environmental education (EE).

B. Main Application (3-page limit, with no less than 11-point font and 1-inch margins) 1. Explain in no more than a maximum of 250 words why you feel this person deserves the Enos Mills Lifetime Achievement Award.

2a. Describe the issues, challenges, and/or needs in EE the nominee has addressed and document achievements or longstanding commitment by providing tangible evidence and/or quantifiable results of innovations and improvements.

2b. Which audiences or constituencies have benefited and how?

3. Provide examples that demonstrate leadership. Specifically address how the nominee inspires peers, serves as a role model, shows dedication, demonstrates perseverance in the face of adversity, and/or formed community partnerships.

C. Supplemental Materials (4-page limit) You may integrate other material and information into the nomination that will assist the awards committee in getting to know this person (e.g., samples of program/participants' evaluations, program brochures, short video/audio clip, photo slideshow, letters of support).

D. Photographs & Organization Logo: Please attach three JPEG high-resolution photographs (300 dpi or higher) of the nominee. Please also attach a high resolution logo for his/her organization.
