 Help Save the Next Girl is selling T-shirts next week. Sales will occur during lunch in front of the main gym. You can download a form from our signs throughout the school. Shirts are $15.00. Please make checks payable to Northwest High School. Please see Mrs. Burke if you have any questions.  The Northwest Literary Magazine is having a Haunting Halloween Contest. Write or draw something really scary, and submit your entry to room 278 today. The winner will be announced on October 30th on Jag TV!  Now through November 2nd the After Prom committee is participating in a mixed bag fundraiser. Go to www.mixedbagdesigns.com, fundraised ID is 299779 and shop until you drop. 40 percent of your purchase will support the After prom activities.  There will be an informational meeting for anyone who wants to try out for the swim and dive team on Thursday in room 122 at lunch. Be there on time.  Attention all Pre-Med Society Members!!!You are welcome to come on Friday during lunch for our Guest Speaker, Ms. Katie Hallowed, in Room 351. She will be here to share with you her experiences as a Burn Nurse at Washington Hospital Center and answer any questions you may have about the Pre-med career path. Our Next official meeting will be Wednesday Oct 28th. If you have any questions, email Mrs. Lovelace!  Attention all seniors: Baby ads for the yearbook are due October 30th. See Ms. Mason for more information.  Everyone interested in joining this year’s wrestling team, this is for you. There will be a pre-season meeting at lunch on Friday in room 220. This meeting is very important and if you plan on trying out for the team, you must attend. If you have questions see Coach Vukovich.  The Think Pink group is selling Think Pink shirts in front of the counseling office today and tomorrow. The cost is $15 each. Wear them as you support the senior game for Team handball on Friday at 3:30 against Watkins Mill, or when you travel to Churchill to support our varsity jags and cheer them to victory. They kick off at 6:30. You can even wear them on Saturday to the JV football game at 10am and you can wear them to the Cross Country Montgomery County Championships at Gaithersburg HS on Saturday at 8am.  The NW Golf season is not quite over. At the County Scramble, NW took 2nd place, shooting a score of 8 under par at Rattlewood Golf Course. Please congratulate Zach Riccio, Brett Babb, Pierce Barbour, and Shane Parcelles on their outstanding performance. The team was seeded 8th so coming in 2nd is a huge accomplishment.  NW drama present the warm, wonderful holiday special play, “It’s a wonderful Life”. An angel helps a compassionate but despairingly frustrated businessman by showing what life would have been like if he never existed. This play is for everyone. Come out and support NW drama thanks.
