Some grants have been approved on a discretionary basis under delegated powers so we will need to consult with third parties on whether or not we can release details of grant payments made. In order to supply the information as fully as possible, I have listed grants where approval is already in the public domain. Those not in the public domain and requiring consent are shown under the heading of other grants, or grouped together under the type of grant. For the purpose of clarity we have supplied information on grant payments made to voluntary and community organisations to support their activities and not where they are commissioned to provide services in return.

We are only required to keep data for 6 years, therefore data is not available prior to 2003/04. The authority changed its financial system from 1 April 2004. The data for 2003/04 is held in an archive and will be time-consuming to extract.

The cost of locating and retrieving the information to date exceeds the £450 limit as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004.
