MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE PRINCETON FIRE ADVISORY BOARD HELD AT 7:00 P.M., ON JUNE 1, 2010, AT THE PRINCETON CITY HALL ********************************************************************************************* 1. Call to Order – Chair Whitcomb called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Those in atten- dance included:

2. Review/Consideration of May 4, 2010 Minutes STOECKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF MAY 4, 2010 AS PRESENTED. LLUNDEEN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

3. Agenda Additions/Deletions – Under “New Business”, Chief Roxbury requested discus- sion on budgeted items…including a new Relocation trailer.

4. Reports: A. Run Reports - Roxbury advised that the individual entity reports were not yet tallied, but he handed out the Run Report synopsis and reviewed it with the members.

B. Department Update – Jim Roxbury Fire Coverage during bridge replacement update: Roxbury said there are two trucks now locat- ed at the temporary station on CSAH 1 (a pumper and grass rig). They will be test driving to dif- ferent locations to see which routes provide the fastest response times. So far there have been no runs out of the new fire station or Wyanett….just practice runs. Karnowski advised that the pre-construction meeting is scheduled for this Thursday in St. Cloud.

C. Old Business New Firefighter update: Roxbury advised that the department’s approved request for up to five (50 new firefighters was being pursued. They had seven candidates that, on first review, looked good. After the 2nd interview they were down to six (one candidate moved to Texas). They will continue processing the candidates until they have it whittled down to five.

Insurance Services Office (ISO) Rating Update: Roxbury said all the required information has been forwarded to ISO. So far they have nothing back regarding any new rating.

800 MHz Radio Update: Roxbury informed the Fire Advisory Board that all the necessary pa- perwork has been turned in and Sherburne County will program the radios as soon as the appli- cation is approved. The process with Mille Lacs County is going slower.

D. New Business: CenterPoint Energy Grant – The board reviewed a notice from CenterPoint Energy advising of their award of a $1,500 grant to the city for gas detectors defibrillators. An award of the money will be made at an upcoming City Council meeting.

Trailer and 4-wheeler – Roxbury advised that the 2010 budget included the purchase of both a new enclosed trailer for equipment used in the city’s relocation efforts and a 4-wheeler. He ad- vised that there may be an opportunity to buy a trailer. He asked if he could run the proposed purchase through just the City Council or if the FAB wanted to review it as well. The consensus Fire Advisory Board Minutes June 1, 2010 of the board was to allow the Council to make the decision without Page 2 FAB comment.

Miscellaneous Information – Lundeen advised that the Wyanett Town Board and the other townships covered by the Dalbo Fire Department would be meeting next Monday night to discuss fire contract costs.

Andresen asked if Roxbury could secure a list of mis-dispatched calls to Blue Hill Township. Roxbury indicated he would attempt to get that list for Mr. Andresen.

E. Next Meeting(s) & Agenda It was noted that the next regular meeting is scheduled for July 6, 2010
