Ad Altare Dei Weekends

To achieve and complete the Ad Altare Dei Roman Catholic Religious Emblem Registration Deadline: Oct. 31, 2015

Weekend 1: Nov. 8th, 2015 1–5 pm at St. Augustine Cathedral’s Crowley Center (542 W. Michigan Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49007)

Weekend 2: Jan. 15th at 5:30 pm - 17th at 2 pm, 2016 Rota-Kiwan (6278 Texas Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49009)

Cost for the two weekends: $40.00 (includes book)

Eligibility: Any registered Catholic youth member of the Boy Scouts of America, (Troop or Crew) who is age 13 - 14, or who has completed the sixth grade, may work on and achieve the Ad Altare Dei religious emblem.

------Note: Due to the amount of material needing to be covered, those attending must stay both weekends and come prepared. Your board of review will occur shortly after the last Sunday. Emblems will be presented through the Bishop at the Diocesan Scout Mass (Sunday, April 17th at 3 pm, St. Augustine Cathedral (542 W. Michigan Ave., Kalamazoo, 49007).

The Ad Altare Dei Program attempts to help you to more deeply engage in the sacramental life of the Church. By understanding the seven sacraments, one is able to grow in deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. Spiritual growth should be your underlying goal as you complete the learning objectives of the Ad Altare Dei program.
