Ivan Pagacik called the meeting to order.

 Roll Call (attendance)/Visitors

 Review of Minutes from Last Meeting

o Approved

 Registration Update

o Jen Barlow/Fran Richard – reg is down a little. On the plus side less are unpaid as compared to last year.

o President (Rodi previously) has contacted unpaid in previous years to clarify reasons (scholarships). Need to understand who is a scholarship. Park and Rec makes decision. Larry Frisoli will clarify the ID of scholarship recipients and communicate to Jen Barlow. – DONE

o Senior softball has 8 registered (4 paid) and all additional registrations will be waitlisted. Will need to determine if there will be enough for a team.

1 o There are a number of past-due accounts on the website that are more than 3 years old. Jen Barlow requested approval to clear out these account balances. Action was approved by the board. o Chuck Decoste has asked if a 12 year old (turns 13 in June) wants to can they move up to the Majors. Gary Wilson will approach Minuteman League leaders to clarify. o Jen Barlow to send out on last reminder on January 10th, 2011. - DONE o Schedule coordinator – Jen has a couple of volunteers from the registration. Jen will send Ivan the contacts to determine interest.

o Brook Moore volunteered to be a Softball Umpire coordinator.

o Jen Barlow will include open coordinator positions in email blast for registration. - DONE

 Treasurer’s Report (Tom Furlong)

o Booster - $41,000

o Park and Rec - $4700 (as of 08DEC2010)

o Tax update – still waiting to hear from IRS on waiver request. Getting information from Rodi A. to get information for 2006 and previous.

 Equipment

o Portable mound and baseballs (especially for Babe Ruth).

o Helmets and catcher equipment

o Line equipment

2 o Jet Field equipment shed – it is in poor shape. A pod could be rented for the season. Ivan Pagacik will approach School Board for approval. This will be further discussed (size and cost) at the February Board meeting.

o Ivan Pagacik proposed discussing uniforms at the February Board meeting.

o Bases and fences for fields. Ivan Pagacik will approach Littleton Park and Rec regarding doing this (LYBS pays for it). The money will come from the Booster account.

o Field condition

. Chuck Decoste asked about Dry My Field. Twenty buckets will cost $4800. Chuck is waiting to hear from other communities to see if they are interested in splitting it. Tom Furlong will clarify what has been spent in previous years to material to dry the fields.

. Ivan Pagacik suggested the purchase of better fill to improve overall field condition.

 LYBS Calendar o Ann Maher shared it at the December 2010 board meeting and John Davis asked Jen Barlow and Amy Scaramucci to be posted on the LYBS website.  Concessions Program

o Trina Miller will be in contact with Rookie coordinators and coaches since they are responsible for running it during the games. Trina will keep it stocked.

o Shattuck Field – doesn’t seem to be a need or desire to have one at Shattuck since there is no power near the field.

o Jen Barlow will share with Trina names of those parents interested in helping with concessions.

o Chuck confirmed available apparel is posted on website.

 New Business

o Evaluations –

. When – there is a need to ID available dates – March 5th and 12th; baseball 8-1, softball 1-4.

. Where – LHS will be checked for availability by Chuck Decoste.

. How – Ed McCarthy suggested evaluating by age and starting with 12 year olds first. Need to schedule a separate meeting to discuss how to evaluate. Coach evaluations from last year are needed. Chuck Decoste will get Major coaches’ evals. Paul Macgregor will coordinate Minor evals. Larry Frisoli will coordinate Div 1 evals. Summary will go to Paul Macgregor.

. Softball clinic – Ed McCarthy will coordinate this with the HS team. Clinic on the 5th and eval on the 12th.

o Larry Frisoli volunteered to coordinate summer baseball

 Schedule next meetings
