Our Chairman for the evening, Roger Malouf, opened the meeting and everyone joined him in the toast. Roger welcomed visiting Rotarian, Shaun Lennard, from the Rotary Club of Hobart. He also welcomed our visitor, his wife, Lynne Patten – Malouf. Acting Secretary, Helen, passed around the correspondence. She also reminded us that all the raffle tickets were due to be returned by next week. The Raffle will be drawn at the meeting on August 31st. There was no Arthur’s Swindle. Rosters: Caravan – Nathan to deliver, Brian to return. Raffle ticket selling on August 31st, at the back of Woolworths – 9.30 – N. Wishart and hopefully some-one to assist Neil; 11.30 J. Heasley and C. Noble. Next meeting – Sandra will tell us about her trip to Denmark, although Ted will be in Darwin – fishing and Helen, also in Darwin at a Rotary Zone Institute. We all thanked Lynne for making a birthday cake for Roger, which was shared and enjoyed by all. Roger thanked all for attending and closed the meeting.
