Nasser Talib, Chief Executive Officer, Desert Group studied at the Higher Colleges of Technology, Dubai and has been with the Desert Group since 2006 joining from the PEPSI Organisation (Dubai refreshments).

Under his leadership the Desert Group has grown in size adding several new divisions. With meticulous planning, he has lead the diversification and expansion stages of the Group to date which has ensured, not only survival in times of recession but steady growth and high profitability. New activities under his tenure include the Trading Division, the Commercial Division, The Interior Landscapes Division, and The Golf Division, and the Potting Soil Manufacturing Unit in Dubai. He is presently responsible for planning and directing the Group’s ambitious expansion plans into Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, Jordan and Kuwait.

He planned and implemented the “369 Strategic Planning Project” for the Desert Group in 2008 whereby all divisions now have a detailed three, six and nine year plan to guide the companies over the coming years. He has also driven and overseen the complete rebranding of the Group and completely overhauled the IT systems by implementing Navision and raised the profile of Desert Group into a large and diversified Group of Companies with a name that has become renown for superior standards and quality.

Responsible also for improving the conditions for the labourers, and developing the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy by providing employment and development for 40 special needs employees, and ensuring that all staff at every level receive the guidance and professional training they require to keep abreast of modern methods and technology.

Nasser Talib has previously held posts with PEPSI (Dubai Refreshments) as Human Resources Manager and Ghandi Electronics as Assistant Administration Manager


