KYW NEWSRADIO POPULAR LAPTOP GIVEAWAY ENTERS 10th YEAR Registration Opens for KYW Newsradio Comcast Laptop Daily Double

Listeners will have two daily chances to win a Dell Inspiron 1318; Winners will nominate school for grand prize computer lab.

PHILADELPHIA – Sept. 2, 2009 – Starting Sept 14th, KYW1060 listeners will get two chances each day to win a laptop computer and nominate their favorite school to win a 10-piece computer lab. This marks the 10th year of KYW Newsradio’s popular giveaway, which always ends with a winner-nominated school nabbing the biggest prize of all, thanks to long-standing Laptop Daily Double partner, Comcast.

“The end of summer is bittersweet for kids and adults alike, and the KYW Newsradio Comcast Laptop Daily Double helps ease that transition from the beaches to the business meetings,” says CBS Radio Philadelphia Market Manager, Marc Rayfield. “More importantly, not only can each listener be a winner, but each winner can share those good feelings by nominating a deserving school.”

Anyone can register to win now by logging on to KYW1060.com and clicking on “Insider Club.” Once registered, all listeners must do is sit back, relax and listen for their name to be called. KYW Newsradio 1060 will announce two names – one at 7:45 AM and one at 3:15 PM – and a special telephone number each weekday, starting Monday, Sept. 14 and ending Friday, Oct. 23. Chosen listeners will have 30 minutes to call in and confirm their very own Dell Inspiron1318 laptop. At that time, they will nominate a school of their choice to be eligible to win a ten piece computer lab. The computer-lab-winning school will be announced on Thursday, Oct. 29.
