Using GNav Pro Windows

Global Navigator Pro has a graphical interface, presenting all Navigator functions in a Windows-like environment. All functions are accessible via pulldown menus or icons. The main window contains the following elements:

Titlebar The GNav Pro main window titlebar contains standard Windows title bar controls to close, minimize, maximize, and restore the window. For more information, refer to the Microsoft Windows online help system.

The Menu bar also contains the NEC Control icon . Double-click the Control icon to close GNav Pro. You can also click the Control icon to open the Control menu and position the main window or exit the program.

Menu bar The Menu bar contains the following items:

 File Use this item to close the connection and exit the program.

 View Use this item to enable/disable the toolbar and status bar.

 Maintenance (System Administrators ONLY) Use this item to configure alerts messages; configure user access and shifts; launch the Forecast/Scheduler; configure message sets and wallboards; and launch the Real Time Statistics Wizard and Report Designer.

 Report Use this item to generate a report, launch the Report Generation Wizard, and schedule report sets and report buckets.

 Window Use this item to arrange and configure individual windows within the main GNavPro window display. You can display cascading windows (overlapping) or tiled windows (expanded to fit the available space within the GNav Pro main window.

 Help Use this item to launch the GNAV Client online help you are now reading.

Toolbar Buttons The following buttons, located on the toolbar, perform specific GNavPro functions:

 Hide/Show Navigator Tree... Displays/Hides the tree view containing the Entities, Reports, and Views tabs.

 Print Sends the contents of the displayed window to a configured printer.

 Print Preview Provides an onscreen preview of the result of printing the currently active window.

 System Configuration (System Administrators ONLY) Launches the System Configuration utility in a separate window.  Wallboard Messages (System Administrators ONLY) Displays the Message Sets configuration dialog. This item is also available under the Maintenance menu.

 User Access Displays the User Access configuration dialog. This item is also available under the Maintenance menu.

 Wallboard Configuration (System Administrators ONLY) Displays the Wallboard configuration dialog. This item is also available under the Maintenance menu.

 Real Time Statistics View Wizard Launches the Real Time Statistics View wizard. This item is also available under the Maintenance menu.

 Report Designer Launches the Report Designer dialog. This item is also available under the Maintenance menu.

 Show Alerts Launches the Alert Message dialog. This item is also available under the Maintenance menu.

 External Frames Displays all current views (such as Queued Calls, Agent Stats, etc.) in separate, external windows (frames). These frames can be re-sized and positioned on screen as needed.

 Internal Frames Returns all external frames to the GNav Pro main window. The frames can then be positioned and tiled or cascaded, as needed.
