The Pennsylvania State University - McCoy Natatorium LOCATION 108 Bigler Rd., University Park, PA 16802 Day of meet emergency phone #: 814-937-9019 The Competition pool is 6 lanes, 25 yards with depth ranging from 6 to 10 feet and the Instructional pool will serve as the warm up, cool down pool and is 6 lanes by 25 meters. The arena features 960-seat capacity and an additional 100 FACILITIES seating in the loft area if necessary. The Competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C (4). Please fill out officials form and return by March 4, 2016. This meet is open to all YMCA swimmers who have competed in a minimum of three (3) closed YMCA meets during the current season. There are qualifying times for this meet listed below. All swimmers MUST be full-privilege members of their YMCA and must have represented only their YMCA in competition (high ELIGIBILITY school excepted) for a period of 90 days prior to the start of the meet. Swimmer’s age is as of December 1, 2015. Swimmers who are 21 and under and have not represented a post-high school institution in closed or open competition are eligible to participate. YMCA Pennsylvania District Swimming Championship is a time standard qualifying meet. Only swimmers who have swum the qualifying times may compete in this District Championship. Your cooperation in submitting only those QUALIFYING TIMES swimmers who have qualified will assure the importance of the achievement and the honor earned by the swimmers qualifying to represent their YMCA at this meet. Proof of time will be required if an entry time is challenged. Swimmers are restricted to a maximum of 4 events (max 3 individual events). Friday night’s events count towards the total. Swimmers may swim both events ENTRY LIMITS Friday night if desired. Relays will be limited to one (1) relay team per association per event. Entry Deadline is Monday March 7th – 8:59 AM ENTRY DEADLINE No additional swimmers or events will be added after the deadline.

ENTRY FEES $6.00/individual event, $24.00/relay, $5.00 Swimmer Surcharge for Facility Fee Please bring ONE CHECK ONLY for the total amount of your team entries. Relay Only Alternates will not be charged the facility fee, but please be sure to only list alternates, not your entire team roster. We will not accept a collection of individual checks from your team members. Your check should be made payable to: Hollidaysburg Area YMCA Swim Team and hand delivered to the Coaches Check in desk. On Friday night, if necessary, we will take a short (up to 10 minutes) break between events. Awards for Friday night events will be awarded following medley relays on Saturday. A 10 minute break will follow the medley relays for GOVERNANCE both Sunday sessions. All events are pre-seeded, timed finals. EVENTS / SESSIONS The current USA Swimming technical rules (only), YMCA Rules that govern Competitive Sports, and the Rules Supplement for Mid-Atlantic Group shall apply. Where there is any conflict, the YMCA Rules that Govern Competitive Sports shall supersede. Any question that may arise and is unanswered by the meet referee may be referred to the Championship Committee. Friday Evening Warm-ups: 6:00 PM, Start: 7:00PM Saturday Morning Warm-ups: 8:00 AM; Start: 9:00 AM Saturday Afternoon Warm-ups: 1:00 PM; Start: 2:00 PM Sunday Morning– Warm-ups: 8:00 AM; Start: 9:00 AM WARM-UP & START Sunday Afternoon– Warm-ups: 12:30 PM; Start: 1:30 PM TIMES Doors Will Open at 7:40 AM Each Morning! All Times are subject to change All warm-ups will be assigned for Saturday and Sunday only. Continuous warm-up/ warm-down will be available in the Instructional pool throughout the meet. Scoring will be as follows: SCORING Individual Events: 16-13-12-11-10-9-7-5-4-3-2-1 Relays: 32-26-24-22-20-18-14-10-8-6-4-2 Volunteer timers and officials will be needed from all participating teams. Please VOLUNTEERS encourage volunteers from your team, by using the Officials and Volunteers form Swimmer staging will be done on the pool deck. There will be no formal seeding SWIMMER SEEDING of the swimmers. Swimmers will be responsible for on time arrival prior to his/her event. If a swimmer fails to compete in a scheduled event without declaring a false start, he/she shall be disqualified from that event. The swimmer MAY compete SCRATCH RULE in the State Championships in any events previously qualified. Points scored and events earned in previous events shall stand. All teams and coaches must be currently registered through the YMCA COACHES Online Team Registration system. All coaches must demonstrate current REQUIRMENTS/ certifications in the following safety courses in order to be permitted on DECK ACCESS deck at a YMCA Sanctioned Championship Meet: First Aid, CPR, Safety Training for Swim Coaches (or Lifeguard or YASA, with completion of the online Red Cross STSC test) and Principles of YMCA Competitive Swimming and Diving. Coaches may show their current YMCA coach credential, current USA Swimming coach credential with the Y stamp. SAFETY & WARM-UP YMCA and USA Swimming safety procedures will be enforced throughout PROCEDURE the meet.  Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone is not permitted in changing area, restrooms, or locker rooms.  Shaving is not permitted in the facility.  Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and strongly discouraged

Warm-ups are subject to the following procedures: • No diving or backstroke starts will be permitted except in sprint lanes, when designated. • The referee may remove anyone from the warm-up for failure to comply with the warm-up rules. • Swimmers without a coach must report to the Meet Director before entering the pool for warm- up in order to obtain a lane assignment. Swimmers without a coach who are 12 & Under will swim with and be supervised by the host club during warm-up. Note: Swimmers violating safety procedures will be removed from the warm-up for the remainder of the warm-up session. Subsequent violations may cause the swimmer to be disqualified from the remainder of the meet. This policy will be strictly enforced. NO SPECTATORS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE POOL DECK AT ANY TIME. Medals will be awarded to the swimmers who finish in the top six (6) in each event. Ribbons will be awarded for places 7 – 12 in each event. Team trophies will be given to the winner and the second place team in each age AWARDS group only. Separate team swimming banners shall be given to the first three place teams according to overall cumulative point totals. A first place banner shall be awarded to combined team scores (men and women). PROGRAMS & Admission Fee: Admission will be $5.00 per session per person per day, ADMISSION Programs $5.00 each. Children under 5 admitted free. VENDORS Vendors will be on site. Food and Drink concessions are offered by the PSU. Results will be posted at www.haytigersharks.com throughout the meet. Results will also be available on Meet Mobile RESULTS Results will be posted in the spectator lobby and poolside after they become official. It is usually DIRECTIONS and easiest to park and walk over to the pool rather than trying to drop swimmers off PARKING on the main roads surrounding the facility.
