1. FLECT/FLEX – bend Inflection (noun) – a change in the pitch, tone, or loudness of the voice ex. – The man from New York had an odd inflection when he spoke.
2. POST – after; behind Postmortem (adj.) – occurring after death ex. – Many of Bukowski’s poems were published postmortem.
3. MAL – bad Malevolent (adj.) – having or showing intense ill will or hatred ex. – The majority of students have malevolent feelings toward taking vocabulary quizzes.
