HOW TO :PROGRAMME FC 300 Series FOR 8 SET-SPEEDS

Installation: Your connections for stop/start, change set speed, in this example we are using connections for FC302.

Terminal 12 – 24v from VLT VLT 18 – Start/stop command 27 – Stop command (if not used 12 18 27 19 29 33 37 link with terminal 12) 37 – Safety Stop (if not used link with terminal 12 ) only FC302 19 – Pre-set ref ‘0’ (par 5 -11) 32 – Pre-set ref ’1’ (par 5 -14) 33 – Pre-set ref ’2’ (par 5 -15) Method: First take note of your motor nameplate details, and programme into drive: KW (par1-20), Voltage (par1-22), Frequency (par1-23), Current (par1-24), RPM (par1-25). And enable AMA (par1-29) this will be carried out when first start command is given. Now programme Ramp up time (par3.41), Ramp down time (par3.42), Motor speed high limit (par4-13), and current limit (par4-18). Programme the drive for controls as above (other terminals for reference can be used). In this example (par5-11)terminal 19 change data to pre set reference 0, (par5-14) terminal 32 change data to pre set reference 1, (par5-15) terminal 33 change data to pre set reference 2 To programme the 8 fixed speeds: Enter Reference Unit (3.01), Min Reference (par3.02) if needed otherwise leave at 0 and Maximum Reference (par3-03) Preset Reference (par3-10) array (8) If you need forward and reverse reference speeds, programme (par3-00) for –max - + max Then put – values in (par3-10) make sure (par3-02) min reference is 0.000 Note: when programming array parameters go to par no in this case (par3-10) array ‘0’ enter your required reference speed this being a percentage between the min and max reference press OK, this will then take you to the next array then put in your next reference speed. Repeat this for all required speeds. If not all speeds required just leave remaining array no’s blank. TRUTH TABLE when the inputs are OFF ’0’ or ON ‘1’ the output will be the set speeds as programmed in (par3-10). (par3-10) Term 19 Term 32 Term 33 Speed 1 array ‘0’ 0 0 0 Speed 2 array ‘1’ 1 0 0 Speed 3 array ‘2’ 0 1 0 Speed 4 array ‘3’ 0 0 1 Speed 5 array ‘4’ 1 1 0 Speed 6 array ’5’ 1 0 1 Speed 7 array ‘6’ 0 1 1 Speed 8 array ‘7’ 1 1 1 If you only want 2 speeds you would only need to use 1 terminal for speed change just choose terminal and programme for pre set reference ‘0’ and use speed 1 & 2 from the truth table. For 3 or 4 speeds choose 2 terminals and programme for pre set reference ‘0’ and pre set reference ‘1’and use speeds 1-4 When completed and tested ok last thing to do, is to upload data (par0-50) into LCP
