Fox and Lillie Rural Foundation Scholarship
Fox and Lillie Rural have been buying and exporting Australian wool since 1948. Today Fox and Lillie is one of the largest wool companies and one of the main wool brokers in Southern Australia. Our exporter ownership provides our clients with service and opportunites to maximise their growth.
Fox and Lillie Rural are offering a scholarship designed to help build the skills base of the Australian agricultural industry. This scholarship is available to people undertaking vocational education and training courses in Agriculture at Longerenong College under the Rural Production Training Package.
1. Type of Award, eligibility and benefits
There is a range of benefits you may consider for the Fox and Lillie Scholarship recipient (s) to be offered which include: Industry Placement ( four to eight weeks) – 2nd year
An opportunity for a 12 month internship (upon successful completion of course) with work that is both challenging and rewarding
Opportunity to offer a supportive atmosphere in which to develop their personal and professional skills
Mentoring by senior leaders within Fox and Lillie
A professional learning and development program
The opportunity to assist in the development and implementation of important projects or research
A set of work placement and rotations across Fox and Lillie that will be planned to take into account your skills and work preferences
Support of larger group and broad career opportunities
Ongoing learning and development opportunities
Scholarship recipient(s) will also receive:
A competitive salary with advancement upon successful completion of the graduate program
There is one scholarship of $10,000 or two $5,000 available for 2018/2019. The recipient(s) must be enrolled in a full-time training course at Longerenong College in 2018/19.
The award will be paid to Longerenong College to offset fees and charges from the College and will be credited to the successful recipient(s) in four instalments over two years. The recipient(s) of the award may also be provided with the opportunity to complete all or part of industry placement Fox and Lillie Rural. 2. Selection Criteria Scholarships will be awarded on merit. Preference is given to applicants who: Enrolling in the Advanced Diploma of Agriculture or Certificate IV in Agriculture full-time Students must undertake the elective wool classing Students to undertake a minimum of 4 week Industry Placement at Fox and Liilie wool operations Indicate an understanding of the knowledge and skills that will be required for a successful career in agriculture

The scholarship is subject to the applicant’s acceptance at Longerenong College to undertake training for a qualification within the Rural Production Training Package. Those qualifications include Certificate IV in Agriculture and Advanced Diploma of Agriculture. The College advises that the successful recipient’s name and photograph may also be published in the College and non-College material including student magazine, media and sponsor newsletters.
