Belief statement: Educating adults: The purpose is to promote growth intellectually, promote growth and development, as to enhance job performance so quality of life will be greater. Program Planning: Planners act in management of resources: time, content, personnel. PP coordinates and facilitates those resources. PP facilitates negations among group. Adults as Learners: Adults bring different levels of knowledge and experiences. Adults want to learn and to be productive. Adults’ learning is impacted thru personal background. Learning Process: Participants learn more when associated with past experiences and knowledge. Participants have a variety of learning styles. Participants learn in collaborative self-regulating, inter- dependent and connected ways. Assumptions: Current program commitments: All present commitments, along with new ideas and concerns, will be considered as possible program priorities on an equal basis. Organizational context: It is expected that training programs will result in increased productivity and effectiveness of employees on behalf of the society in which they serve. One measure of this productivity and effectiveness must be demonstrated through information flow analysis.
