Ms. Linda Crerar is an experienced business and government executive with more than 35 years of experience in the private and government sectors. Over the past 10 years, she has worked to develop strategies that help build capacity in the public, private, and civic sectors to be resilient in the face of disasters and other crises. Ms. Crerar currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the Homeland Security Emergency Management (HSEM) Department at Pierce College in Lakewood, Washington. This is an online program that was established in 2009 and offers distance learning statewide and regionally. Ms. Crerar also serves as the Center of Excellence for Homeland Security Emergency Management’s Special Projects Manager. The Center serves a coalition of 34 Washington State community and technical colleges plus public agencies, private sector organizations, and communities. The Center facilitates and coordinates homeland security initiatives and provides access or delivers education and training to prepare a skilled workforce in the field.

Ms. Crerar serves on the State’s Homeland Security Strategic Plan Development Working Group and the State’s Homeland Security Committee. She was the executive staff to the Governor’s Emergency Management Council where, in 2008, she authored the Council’s annual report to the Governor on State preparedness. As the Executive Policy assistant and Risk manager to the Director of the Department of Agriculture, Ms. Crerar developed the agency’s Homeland Security/Agro- Terrorism.

Ms. Crerar has a master’s in applied behavioral science from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, and a B.A. from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.
