Summary… 1) 2 different days today – rainy, windy, and chilly to start today. Sunshine, warmer, and light winds to finish the day 2) Low pressure is moving quickly NE and will pass E of Nantucket during the next hour or 2 and then head quickly NE thru the Gulf of Maine this afternoon 3) Rain will end around 1000/1100edt this morning and skies will be clearing by 1100/1200edt a) temps in the 60s this morning, but warming to 75-80 by late afternoon with sunny skies 4) NE-N winds will be backing this morning a) still quite strong thru 1000/1100edt with N-NW winds 16-22 kts and gusts to 26, but 5) NW winds will steadily diminish this afternoon a) wind directions will be 340 backing to 310 1200-1400edt and wind speeds will be down to 12-17 kts by 1300edt b) wind directions will back from 310 to 270 1400-1600edt and wind speeds will be down to 5-10 kts by 1600edt 6) Need to be careful very late afternoon that the winds don’t diminish completely to nil a) but it will be sunny and warmer

Weather…Rain ending by 10/11am and then clearing. Chilly this morning, but warming to 75-80 by late afternoon under sunny skies.
Error factor…Confidence is average or a little above 1) Strongest winds this morning, just a question of how quickly winds diminish this afternoon a) we will probably see gusts to 20 kts at noon, but winds could be 5 kts or less by 1700/1800edt 2) As winds diminish, the wind directions will back a) stronger the winds, the slower the backing b) the lighter the winds, the faster, the wind directions will back c) winds could be very light SW by 1800edt
Saturday, July 27 1) Low pressure will be moving ENE across the Gulf of St Lawrence a) new low pressure will be forming off the Carolina coast again, but this will be Sunday’s weather issue 2) Sunshine, warmer, and more humid with a light SW gradient wind 3) Sea breeze will pull winds left during the afternoon a) wind directions mostly 190-210 and wind speeds will reach 12-17 kts for much of the afternoon

0900: 220-240/ 6-10 1100: 230-200/ 8-12 1300: 190-210/11-15 1500: 190-210/12-17 1700: 190-210/12-16 Weather…Mostly sunny, warmer, and more humid with highs 80-85
Sunday, July 28 1) Little low will pass over or W of the Cape during the morning 2) Cold front in the eastern Great Lakes will not arrive until Mon night 3) Rain, possible thunderstorms, and a SE-S wind during the morning a) winds could reach 20 kts at times during the morning, but 4) Once the low passes to the NW and N of us, winds will diminish and then become S- SW a) we will also have some sunshine developing during the afternoon b) S-SW winds may be as low as 5-10 kts early afternoon, but with warm, humid, sunshine, SW winds may reach 10-15 kts during the 2nd half of the afternoon
0900: 120-140/ 8-16, gust 20 1100: 130-170/16-8 1300: 180-210/ 5-10 1500: 200-220/ 8-14 1700: 210-230/10-15 Weather…Rain and possible thunderstorms during the morning then clearing during the afternoon. More humid with highs in the low 80s late afternoon.
